Found a friendly Blue Tick Hound this morning (Outdoorschik)

That is disappointing.  Why would he risk being euthanized by being in quarantine for 10 days?

My understanding is that after 10 days he 'either' goes to the feeder rescue or can be euthanized if there is no space :( No guarantees. I got another rescue here to help out. They are going to list him on their website/petfinder which is huge since I don't have a 401c3 # therefore cannot list dogs as a rescue on there... yet. They are also going to bring his picture to their farmer's market days and I may stop in and sit at their table with him.

Karen, I just posted him to the DogRuffCrowd.  If you have a flyer or something you're using to "advertise" him, I can help spread the word down in this part of NH.  I'm not sure how much screening you want to get into, but there's a decent Redbone population down here, so maybe someone would want a Bluetick?

I am so sad to hear they didn't take him and that his options seems slim - thanks for all you are doing Karen and Paige that is very kind.

Fingers and paws crossed for him

Shoot, if I was able, I'd even offer to foster him, but I'm staying with friends, so I'm lucky enough to have a roof over my head and Gracie's right now!

Thanks Paige! I'll try and make up a flier today with his picture. I'm scheduling him for a neuter asap, that may help with the marking and make him more adoptable. The hunting population doesn't want to have a netuerd dog but I think I've exhausted that avenue so, the jinglers are gonna go :). He's a wonderful dog, just not wonderful for me. I do want to find him a great home though. Paige, in terms of screening, I'll be checking references, making sure they have a vet and finding out how dog savy they are. He's happy with a short jog everyday, but more would be ideal. He needs someone patient to housetrain him, but once they get through that, with some basic obedience, he'll be quite the gem! There's not an aggressive bone in his body.

Thanks for working so hard to find this guy a home, Karen.  Continued good thoughts for success from Michigan.
