OK I have the family function from you know what this weekend - my sisters who both have fiery tempers and are self-centered are going at it.  One is texting me with her side the other is doing online chat with her side.  Time to grow up for both of them.  So looking forward to spending my weekend with them..............NOT.  At least I have a new dress and new shoes LOL

Good morning everyone.

Busy day here...but its summer...it should be busy! Its supposed to warm up to 80* today..if thats the case we'll be headed to the beach after work.

Taking tomorrow off b/c we work Saturday so I'll be making some sort of alcoholic beverage (or 3) tonight. My latest favorite....UV blue w/ sierra mist. Kind of like a blue freezie. Tomorrow is yard work day...and stacking wood. Not looking forward to that but it will be nice to have it done.

Karen, I'm glad you found some shoes and a dress but don't forget your flame retardant suit and of course you can have the 2 x 4 as I've already used it where needed (I got it from Deb this morning).   I'd just stay home but I realize sometimes that's not an option.  (((Karen)))

Sunny and 80ish today but then cooling the rest of the week and rain is predicted for Sat - Mon . They're having a poker ride at the rescue this weekend and although I can't ride in it, I really wanted to go. They're also dedicating a playground in honor of a young boy who passed away. I hope the weather folks are wrong.

A former friend and coworker is going to be on Oprah today. The show is about women (or maybe men too) who've lost over 100 lbs. Jenny was beautiful when she was heavy but is drop-dead gorgeous now, so I can't wait to see the show.

I found out yesterday that I'm getting a 5% raise *happy dancing*. I wasn't sure we'd get anything and certainly didn't think it'd be 5% in this economy, so it was a very pleasant surprise. It does mean that I can't retire for a year from July 1, but I probably wouldn't have anyway.

I'm going to vent for a second.  I have a co-worker who I really like but find it totally annoying that he jumps the gun at times and doesn't gather all info before he wants me to order stuff.  Or he rushes to order items which we then have to return.  It is annoying when he calls me 10 times in an hour and keeps changing his mind.  My function here is not only to jump when you tell me to; I'm doing other things.  If he thought things through, we'd save money in shipping and restocking fees.  /rant over

I'll just wish you good luck for the weekend Karen - I know how frustrating family can be.

I am excited because not this weekend but next weekend DH and I are going to our first ever dog show (not with Timmy)!! We have both never been to a dog show before so we are quite interested to see how they run, etc. We are just going for one day, so I am pretty sure we get to see Bullmastiffs, Saint Bernards and Newfoundlands :):) No surprise, some of my favourite breeds!

FH and I are meeting with the wedding coordinator tomorrow for the last time before the wedding. Tomorrow is the "30 days left" mark *gulp*. We're up to 150 people so far.

I'm convinced that there is a place in the River of Life (that flows under Rainbow Bridge you know) where they can go up and look in and 'see' us.  It's an angel thing ... and I'm sure Agnes asked if she could peek in on you today and she knows you're thinking of her.  And she turned to all the other I-Dogs there and said "Tina was THE best you know ... what a great place I landed when I needed it!!"

That's 148 people PLUS Uncle David and Aunt Callie (see honorary relatives are the best -- you don't have to put up with crap from them and you can disown them any time you want but you don't want to because they adopted you just cos you all like each other -- plain??)

On the other hand, I'm wishing the blouse I ordered that's on BACKORDER *grrr* would get here so I can compare and then know which outfit I'm wearing to YOUR wedding!!
