Jackie - how are the new glasses working out?

Not.  I didn't buy new frames since I'll need new glasses after the cataract surgery and the frames I have cost a bloody fortune.  So the eyeglass place had to send off the script but no frames.  When the new lens came in, it wouldn't fit in the frame.  They tried to adjust it at the eyeglass place but they weren't successful.  They sent the lens back for adjustment and hopefully I'll hear from them next week.  I did get to look through the new lens for a minute and it seemed like I could see much better.  :)

Gina, sorry to hear about Eli's eyes.

Tina, can you see any particular point that is a problem?  Like, maybe a spider bite in your sleep?  (That happened to my roommate once)  Eeek... I hope you get some relief and resolution quickly.

Thanks, Paige.  Honestly, I can't tell because the lid is swollen and red starting at the inner corner and about 1/8 inch across and up.  It could be a bite, though I was very prone to styes as a kid, so it could be as simple as an ingrown eyelash.  It itches like crazy.

I hope your aunt continues to improve and at least stabilize enough to get out of ICU. 

Griffin, I'd be pretty ticked off, too.

Gina, you're a great mom and I'm sure you and DH will see Elias through (no pun intended) whatever he faces.

Does anybody know how to turn those news feeds off in Facebook where people are looking for pots, handcranks, ground poles, etc.?  I assume the people posting these things are playing a game, but they're really annoying.

On the messages themselves off to the right there should be an X that comes up when you mouse over...click that then choose to eithe ignore messages from that game...or that entire person, lol. Whichever you prefer :)

If you go to the right of the post with your mouse and X should then show up. Click on that and you can chose to hide that post, all posts by that person or all posts by that application/game.

Can't take an oral antihistamine because it interacts with my antidepressant.  It'd have to be an ointment safe for the eye.  I'm going to at least stop at the drug store after work; maybe there is an OTC type.

they have some drop stuff....Similisan makes some pinkeye stuff, you might try. If it's viral pinkeye you will be more about helping the symptoms...bacterial typically needs some of the antibiotic drops the doc gives. If there's a point or area of the most swelling try a warm compress and perhaps some Stye, that's also in the drug store, it's obviously...for sty's.

 I would officially like to go to bed now. My cold is NOT getting any better and one of my ears is all plugged up, plus my eyes keep watering which is really rather irritating. I'd love to just leave work early, but I'm helping cover for two people who are out today (one normal day off, the other medical leave). Anytime I try to talk, I usually end up sneezing a million times or coughing. Blech!

That said, Ari keeps whimpering in her sleep. It's seriously too darn adorable. I just want to cuddle up next to her!

I've got two guys crawling around in my attic, hammering and banging, running in a new gas line.  Max is sitting at the foot of the ladder in the laundry room where they went up ... just staring ... and waiting. He's so easy to amuse.

My neighbor across the street is having another Kentucky Derby Day party on Saturday.  Everyone pays $5 and gets a list of the horses so they can circle their choices.  Winner splits the pot with STEAC (Short Term Emergency Aid Committee).  It was a lot of fun last year - one of the few times all the neighbors get together.

I am very, very cheered up by the customer service people at the place where I have my car loan from - my payment was due yesterday and I am d-e-d dead broke. I called today hoping they'd let me pay next week, now that I'm back at work, but the lady said since I've been a good customer and made the last three years of payments on time, I could have a deferment (sp?) and SKIP a payment! Of course, they just move it to the end of the loan, but I was so worried that they'd say no and come repo my car in the middle of the night, LOL.

I'm sad to read about Paige's aunt :( I glad she's doing a little bit better. Tina's eyeball, too.

If we need some HAPPY news, I graduate college TOMORROW! I'm not walking, so my family has neglected to throw me a party. I am requesting that my iDog family throw me a virtual party, complete with drinks and half naked men :P I know I can count on you all.
