National Weather Service issues "dangerous situation" tornado watch for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi.

A "particularly dangerous situation watch" is issued when there is a high risk of multiple strong tornadoes.

Jewl, I've had plants that I thought were totally dead at the end of winter and it was just sheer proscrastination that kept me from ripping them out and replanting.  Then, all of a sudden they just started to green up on their own.

Second day in a row of glorious sunshine with no hint of rain.  I could get used to this really fast.

Apparently Ma Nature did not get the memo that I no longer live in FL.  She's sent hot, humid, oppressive FL weather up here.  But, at least once it does start storming again, we'll lose the humidity.  I hope.

Am having an early dinner with one of our secretaries and another faculty member. Yeah! Girls' night out.

To all who are secretaries, support staff, administrative assistants, administrative professionals and all the other titles--thank you for all you do! I'd buy you all a beer (or whatever) if you lived near by.  

My car is in the shop...my bank account is going into shock. Apparently brakes should be dealt with sooner rather than later. Lesson learned.

Thanks Kate.  I'll have a pineapple mojito, my new drink of choice. :)  Unfortunately the bartender that makes it best is back in Nashville. lol  My friend and I tried to make our own but it was an epic fail.  We drank our experiments anyway because that's how we roll.  

 Speaking of Nashville the Cumberland river is at the steps where I was sitting this past Saturday according to my friend who just called me. It's been 360 days since Nashville's downtown was severely damaged by flooding.  I hope this time they dodge the bullet.  There are many businesses that never reopened and you can see how high the water came up.

I'm feeling kind of blah today. I've got a headache and I kinda have that pukey feeling, but I don't really have to puke. If that makes sense. I think it started because I took a vitamin after lunch and it got stuck in my throat so I had to drink a ton of water to get it down.

Yup, that's all I've got.

Oh wait! There's more along the bodily functions line. Willa went poop on the potty twice yesterday! I cheered and clapped for her, but she actually looked pretty scared. I think she cut it short the first time then had to go again in an hour or so. She was definitely not comfortable with the idea, but I know she felt much better afterwards. I'm taking her to go see my sister & her kids this weekend, so hopefully we'll do ok. It's like 5 hours one way.

Apparently Ma Nature did not get the memo that I no longer live in FL.  She's sent hot, humid, oppressive FL weather up here. 

 I thought you had lived in New England before and knew about these kinds of gross weather swings.  Watch - muggy weather brings out the horrid May flies and black flies and other bug nasties!  That is one thing I am NOT looking forward to this spring.  It's time to break out the bug spray.... SAD!!  I haven't needed it in over a year (needed a little in WA state, but not in CO or AZ.)
