I would say yes, your dog should have a permanent vet, if possible. That way all your dog's medical issues, vaccination records etc are in one place. Obviously in emergencies you may need to see another vet, but being registered with one for routine checkups, shots, and medications is a good idea. As for one in your area, I am sorry I can't help with that, but someone here possibly can.
I am assuming (or hoping) that your puppy is current on all of her shots and worm preventatives? And that you got her health-checked by the vet when you got her? If so, is there a reason why the vet who did those things could not be your permanent vet?
