    Trying Tuesday chat

Groan!!!  Between getting up at 4:30 to take DH to work so I can go to the office, dealing with the shepherd shuffle alone again (DS conveniently doesn't hear a peep and they are LOUD when DH isn't home) and the fact that I'm gonna have to take DS's truck to put a gallon or so of gas in a can for MY car......blech!

Hope everyone ELSE has a great day!

Aww sorry Glenda hope your day gets better as it goes on.  I'm off to the health club soon.  It is so warm this morning I had to hunt out different clothes to put on.  Looks like we are going right into Summer.  Of course, it calls for rain again today, supposed to rain every day this week. yuk.  I am feeling better and I am thankful for that.  Have a great day everyone.

Hoping that Ginger and all her family and friends are OK - they seem to be really getting hammered with storms

My sleep is still way off from being sick, normally I wake up between 5:30 & 6 ready to start the day, this week however I am in deep sleep and deep dreams at that point so when DH gets up or the alarm goes off I am completely startled. Still feeling cobwebs in my brain now.

At about 6:05 am one of the CO2 detectors started beeping. Bugsy has had issues with beeping alarms forever but never serious.  It appears that the tornado and multiple alarms going off for hours has done him in.  Poor dog was terrified, completely shut down Sad I tried to do some obedience with him to snap him out of it but all he could do was sit.  I then decided to take him outside and let him hunt for his pheasant wing dummy, the first one he was still anxious and confused but once he found it, game on!  So we did a few more and then he was able to go inside, eat breakfast and also leave the sunroom.  Not sure how I can work on this, its terrible to see them like that.

Lots to do this morning and supposed to play in a golf scramble this afternoon but we are expecting storms so we'll see.

OK off to do a bit of work before taking B for a jaunt - his panic has thrown the whole schedule off

I'm not going to complain about anything.  I'm happy to be home and compared to so many dealing with some truly scary weather, I feel lucky.  I hope Ginger and her family are doing ok.

Twister's wearing a BiteNot collar so he won't lick the hot spot that popped up.  :(    The good news for him is that he gets to go to work with me and Gabby today.  He's been staying home mostly and will be thrilled.

I didn't tell you guys what a hoot Nashville is with all it's gloriously tacky honky tonks and bars. The main drag reminded me of San Antonio with the thousands of tourists walking around.  The botanical gardens were so beautiful I felt like I could have spent days there.   There is never enough time but I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful country in northern TN and KY.   We saw a lot of wild turkeys and deer, not to mention the birds and frogs.  My friend lives on ten acres and it's like a wildlife sanctuary.

Stay safe vibes to all in the paths of these dangerous storms.

(((GLENDA)))  Sending happy thoughts your way.  Hopefully the day gets better for you.  Smile

Auburn, lots of rain here also.  I got my lifevest handy and ready.

Karen, poor Bugsy.  I can just picture him running around the house all confused by the beeping.  It's a darn good thing Gooses don't make beeping noises huh Bugs.

Good to hear the trip was a *hoot* Jackie.  hehe  The gardens would have been awesome to see i bet.  No pictures???  SHAME SHAME

Nothing on the go here today. I've got Tessy on so many supplements as part of her treatment plan it takes the best part of the day just to schedule everything in.  Smile  She goes absolutely NUTS for cottage cheese!  Go figure.  Turn the drool taps on when i get the container out for her.  So far the treatment isn't working.  I'm hoping it'll take a little time for things to build in the body.

Anywho, hope everyone has a good day today.  Not sure what's happening in Gingers neck of the woods but i hope all is safe there.  Sending Safety vibes your way!

    Calming vibes for Bugsy.

Jackie, I hope Twister's hot spot is nothing to worry about.

I caught up on other threads finally.

Sending out vibes for Ahpoon & Karen.

Also for Auburn and decision-making re: puppy fever.

Ginger, I hope you and yours are alright.

Tracy, congrats on the doggie!  I have no name suggestions other than watch her for a few days and then decide.  She is beautiful!

Buddy the foster cat should be able to come home today.  I stopped for an extra litter pan and litter this morning, even though it was pouring rain.  I hope he settles in easily.

Thanks for all your good wishes  it's so nice to know you guys are sending us good vibes.   I couldnt get home til about 9:00 last night.  All roads from work to our home 10 miles away were closed,  My co-worker lives 2 blocks behind the office so I went there for the evening.  My hubby called around 8:30, said one of the neighbors finally made it home and gave me the route they took.  That wouldnt have happen earlier cause all the bridges were closed and under water.  I made it to work the normal way this morning what a mess.  We have gotten a short break in the rain until about 6:00 this evening then it starts again.  The damage to the roads and bridges are well, I have seen these places flood before but most have been rebuilt and raised and that didnt make any difference yesterday.  Lives were lost in the floods here and tornados in central AR.  Prayers to those families.  The boys were able to get outside for about an hour yesterday which was the longest they have been out since last Friday.

Tell Bugsy, the Valerian Root that Harry and Sammy sent the boys works pretty good.  They still are scaredy dogs but are less anxious than they would be without it.  We have had to be selective about giving it in the strongest storms or they would have been doped up since last Tues.  They seemed way more relaxed last night when I finally got home than they have in a week.  These storms are headed east and north east, please be safe all.

Once again the office phones are ringing off the hook with trouble call, take care all!

Johnny and Tessy {{hugs}} sending get strong vibes!

Ginger, I'm so glad you guys are ok.  I know you'll be careful driving in those conditions and I hope the coming storm isn't as bad as predicted.  My friend in TN will get that same storm that's heading your way.  She's pretty worried since her hubby won't be home until tomorrow assuming he doesn't run into travel problems driving through Missouri with all the flooding there.  Oy, mother nature needs to give everyone a break!

Johnny, continued good vibes for Tessy.  (((hugs)))  I did take a ton of pictures while I was in TN but we're slammed at work and no time to upload and post yet.

We're going to hit the upper 90's today with humidity off the charts. lol   If only we could turn this into some nice soaking rain but none in sight.  What a shame that some areas are just drenched and flooding and others dry as the desert.

Karen, I'm sorry to hear about Bugsy being so freaked.

    Vibes for Aphoon.

Karen, I'm sorry to hear about Bugsy being so freaked.

he was fine after the pheasant wing searches and he thanks all his idog peeps for caring.  It just surprises me that these beeping things bother him so.  I'll get some valerian root and am hoping that he goes back to disliking the beeps but doesn't freak.

I am not very focused but working hard

I'm glad the pheasant wings helped calm Bugsy down, Karen.

Good vibes sent to everyone else that needs them.

Its raining here today, will rain all day. And I just looked at the forcast....rain for the next 6 of 7 days. Cripes.

Sending positive vibes out to Johnny and Tessy! And silly Bugsy, I know the beeping noises are irritating but no need to be scared. We're supposed to have rain on and off all week, but nothing like what some of you guys are getting hit with. Stay safe, dry and I hope flooding doesn't get too bad!

I've decided not to redye my hair just yet. I don't think it looks all that unprofessional (maybe I'm just hoping it doesn't lol) and honestly it's been such a self confidence boost for me. I love the color and get complimented on it frequently. I've been feeling so blech, unattractive and frumpy as of late that I'll keep it a bit longer. It makes me feel cute and a bit more self confident (I know so silly right?!) Maybe I'm hurting my chances at interviews, but maybe not. Now I'm just debating sticking with this growing out thing or hacking my hair off again (it's at a really annoying and awkward stage!).

Sending good vibes to Johnny and Tessy.  mmm, cottage cheese.  (yeck!, but, if she loves it YAAAY!)

Ginger, I'm so glad to hear you are ok.  I kept reading bad things about your area and they kept getting increasingly worse and worse.  I'm glad you're ok and eventually made it home.

Karen, it sounds like you did the right thing getting Bugsy outside where he could function and focus and getting him into the game, then bringing him back in and getting back to the routines and his day as usual.  Poor dog - they must sound especially awful to dogs.

    • Gold Top Dog

I forgot to send good thoughts and vibes to Johnny & Tessy, so here they are.

Paige, my ex-DH introduced me to Mrs. Dash mixed with cottage cheese.  It makes cottage cheese manageable once in a while (about twice a year).

    • Gold Top Dog

Karen - I totally empathize with you, Bugsy and the alarms. Sassy totally freaks over them too.

Sending good vibes to all those dealing with these nasty storms. They just seem unrelenting right now. Glad you weren't caught in the middle of it with your travels Jackie and super happy you had such a good time.

Joyce - regarding the Dyson carpet cleaner stuff - I'm not sure where you could find it, other than ordering thru Dyson. If you do find it somewhere, let me know. I want to keep some on hand and if I have to, I'll order it from the company.

I was off yesterday but my boss and some coworkers were here for a meeting. On top of coming back to tons of work, I can't find the keys to our mailbox. They key ring also has the office door and bathroom key on it and my boss tends to grab it and then stick it in his pocket. It's the only mailbox key I have Super Angry

Now that I'm back to work, the weather is gorgeous and forecast to stay that way the rest of the week. Oh well, I'm still happy to see the sun shining. Big Smile

Thanks for the tip Cathy but I have all hardwood floors, having pets most of my life, never got into carpeting.

Good vibes to Johnny & Tessy... I get the same reaction to yogurt from Beaux, they each get 3-4 tablespoons every night.
