Anyway many on FB have seen this - we had a huge breakthrough yesterday with Bugsy read about it here if you like

Wow Karen - I was starting to sweat just reading that story. Congratulations to you and Bugsy both!!

Jackie - I'm sorry about whatever is going on with your friend (((hugs)))

Started my birthday off with a dental cleaning. Not sure why I thought I wouldn't mind that on my birthday when I scheduled it 4 months ago and I won't make that mistake again. It was a good appt. but still not the most fun thing to do. I slept like a big baby last night though and feel much better today. Hopefully my boss will stay away.

We're going out to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday and my BIL's but I left DH a note this morning to please pick up some take-out mexican food for dinner. Since he was working the last 2 days, I had soup one night and a frozen dinner the other night and I'm ready to plow thru something yummier.

Yea, seeing all that excitement does make me smile :)  One of the guys I'm in class with always posts like that, which is nice, b/c it makes him easy to remember.

BTW, Johnny, way back in for that greeting card swap, you sent me a little pawprint dangle.  I LOVE that thing.  Its the only thing on my motorcycle key b/c anything bigger would scratch the paint.  Thanks again for that :)

WTG Bugsy! Yes I managed to get Max to drop a squirrel once, but he's not a very intense dog and I think he thought it was a squeaky toy anyway.

    Happy Birthday Cathy! GiftCake

I'm really getting tired of this "on again, off again" weather. Come on, Spring.  Stay.  It's time to start warming up. Maybe a trip to Home Depot is in order.

Johnny, I have the same problem.  Or I start capitalizing all the letters in a word for ADDED emphasis. lol  I have to stop myself from being overly enthusiastic at work, but that's just who I am.  We like you for who you are, which includes being enthusiastically exclamatory!!

Is this day ever going to end? Been a looooong day and I just want to go home to see my puppies. I'm hoping to get out of here by 4 but I'm not holding my breath.

If I don't get a chance to log back on until Sunday evening, hope everyone has a great weekend. And please don't forget to get the Tiki bar going tomorrow!! Enjoy! ;)

A cold, wet, windy morning.  My first call was outdoors and lasted a full hour.  Apparently, the coat I bought for this kind of weather is waterproof for 45 minutes.  Then it is a sponge.  A cold, wet sponge.  I'll have to have something with dinner to warm the blood.  Then, on to the other coat for tomorrow.  It isn't warm, but it will shed water all day.

Way to go, Bugsy.  The collar just kind of lets them know that you can reach out and touch their lives, and reminds them that listening is a valuable skill.

I never worried too much about Piper messing with geese.  The first time she saw Canada Geese was at the WMA we live by.  Two flew over fairly low and Piper chased for  about a quarter of a mile.  Then the geese dropped into some corn, and Piper got close enough to see their size.  She came back then.  The gander looked bigger than Piper.

I submitted my taxes and feel such a relief - even if the outcome is the outcome of our dreams LOL

For the newer members Bugsy has 'goose' issues.  They are severe and have been dangerous for me (and damaging) and dangerous for him.  Last Fall we had two very serious incidents that were the final straw with regard to getting the collar. I was really hoping that we could work it out otherwise mostly because I didn't want the expense but I should have done this ages ago.  Keep in mind Bugsy is a lean 105lbs with serious bird and prey drives.  He has broken prong collars & leather leashes to go after the geese not to mention taken the skin off my hands.  Doug I am pretty sure that what makes geese 'more attractive' to him than ducks is because they are so large and talk back LOL.  I don't think I could put in words how intense his 'goose drive' is, suffice to say that after about 5yrs of trying to keep him under control near them it feels like a miracle that we had a success.  Keep in mind that we've now been working with the collar for 3 months and I could do it tomorrow and he could blow it off.  That's just the way he's wired.
