Colder than a well diggers *** in January

Now that's pretty darn cold.

Beautiful day here in Magnolia, Texas.  Crisp, clear skies....but colder than a ...well, you know what.

I really wish this sinus infection that I've had for over a week would just go away already.  It's not bad enough to make me really sick but bad enough to be annoying.  Mr. W wants me to go back to the Dr., but I haven't finished the antibiotics yet so she's not going to do anything.

Today is supposed to be a low of 13, high of 25.  It's now TEN, so we haven't even warmed up to the forecast low!  LOL!  But, the sun is shining.  And, to steal DH's refrain.....pitchers and catchers report on Sunday.....pitchers and catchers report on Sunday......

And yeah, Johnny..I'm complaining.  I'm sitting very near the WW door in my cubby with heavy slacks, winter tights, TWO pair of wool socks, heavy, definately not fashionable winter boots, a tank, under a fake turtle neck under a sweater under a zipper hoodie fake fur lined sweatshirt with my heavy winter jacket over my legs AND the space heater at my feet and I am cold.  I know that I'm a wuss, but as layered as I am, and as well bundled I should not still be shivering and wearing goose bumps.  So, my conclusion is that it is danged cold in here!  And since I'm here until 7 or so tonight.........

I just got back from the doctor's office.  I wanted to get checked to see if this crud is the flu so I could get some Tamiflu if it was that.  Nope, just a garden variety cold. :)  My coworker does have the flu and since he was spreading germs around here earlier this week and then I got sick yesterday, I was convinced I had the flu.  lol  

The weather is nice here with sunshine and expected to warm up this weekend. 

Another gorgeous day here and I really wanted to play hooky. We're off Monday though, so it just seemed like a bad idea plus I have a ton of work to get done.

I'm pretty impressed with my medical group. I'd had my Gyn appt in Dec. and was supposed to sched. my mammo but hadn't done it yet. They called me yesterday and when I said I'd been meaning to schedule it, they said "let's do that right now then" and got me an appt for 4 on Tuesday. I praised her and the system for being so pushy...er, helpful .

Jackie, I am glad you don't have the flu, but sorry you have another cold.

Deb, I'm sorry you are fighting yet another sinus infection.

Cathy, how did you get Monday off?  Is Valentine's Day a state holiday in CA?  Good that you scheduled your squish-o-gram.  I'd rather do that than the gyn annual, but either way, both need to be performed.  And, don't you have Horse 101 tomorrow?  That'll be interesting.

HOLY COW, I got in!  I keep getting "Oops-ed" out, so this is a real treat.

Cathy, I'm envious.  I want Valentine's Day off!

I am heading for San Francisco next week.  I need to decide if I'm going to bring one of the dogs along.  It would be a much less boring trip if I brought a buddy.

If you give me the $$ I will shop for you.  I love grocery shopping!  I know I am wierd.  I have this afternoon off, but will probably work most of the weekend. 

We leave for Palm Springs in two weeks and I can't wait.  It's something like 80 degrees there.  I am jumping out of my skin.
