Chatting on a thursday

We have had snow here now for two days, not that deep but did make an awful mess, enough that I can not get to the health club this morning, hate missing my swim class.  Oh well, no walk with Bonnie either a bit too deep for her little belly. *S*

Glenda, we have that at our WalMart and on Sat. i always see someone getting their taxes done, hope it won't be too boring for you.  Have a good day there.  At least you can people watch. *S*

I'm taking a book just in case, so I'll be fine.  But, would prefer to be working and busy.  I'm getting paid either way, but it just feels a bit wrong to be paid for reading a book!

 You were spared the worst of the storm... we got at least another foot of snow! When I let the girls out at 5am they disappeared in the snow at the bottom of the stairs. Needless to say I didn't go to work today First time ever the pups didn't want to go outside with DH!

We have a buck hanging out in the back yard, still has his antlers too. Last night we had about a dozen deer... feeling bad for them until two little skippers went psycho running, jumping, and generally being a PITA to all the does, didn't mess with the buck!

Should go out and help DH!

Another night of waking up at 3:00a and not falling back to sleep until nearly 5:00a.  Then I had a bad dream about the ex-BF.  Bleh.

It's a beautiful day and it's almost the weekend.

We are supposed to be sunny and mid 50's today!  Whooohooo!  It was 18 this morning but I am hoping we will get the promised warm up.

Havent been able to catch up so hugs to those that need them.   I was at Dollar General yesterday and a book caught my eye.  I havent read anything but gardening books in a while.   But it had the eyes and nose of a Black Lab on the front....duh how could I not spend the $3.00 :)

Well, I read past my bedtime and so far it is a easy good read.  Will have to let you know how it turns out.  The name is  "together" a story of shared vision. 

Now I wanted to stay home so I could finish my book but...gotta get to workin here.

we got maybe a 1/2" of snow, and schools were still delayed 2hrs.  I mean, c'mon, it's PA in Jan!  It's not that cold or slippery or anything.  There have been a lot of editorials in the newspaper about how the schools have at least 1-2 delays a week and how its taking too much time away from classes (but a delay doesn't count against the total # of days apparently).

Had a weird dream about my nose and the pending surgery.  LOL it was kind of funny.

Folks just showed up to do some sort of photo shoot so I best get off the internet for fear they photograph me on the forum!

 i'm so jealous of all you 50 degree + people. However, we are near 30 which is quite the heat wave so I shouldn't complain.

It IS almost the weekend. wohoo!

I have another weekend of movie watching and general resting planned as of right now. Good stuff!

Ugh, hate that.  It's been happening to me too much lately but without the bad dreams.  Hope you get some sleep tonight. 

 I'm annoyed and in need of an attitude adjustment. hmmm, how to go about making that happen?

p.s. I woke up 4 x last night however I was able to get to sleep within a few mins each time. it just sucks to interrupt such nice sleep!

I think I'd rather shovel 2 feet of snow than 3 inches of slush!!!  What a mess!

Sorry that so many of you are having sleep troubles. I've had them at times too and I know it's no fun. I slept like a baby last night. The whole day had taken a lot out of me and I couldn't wait to go to bed and escape it all. I still feel very sad about the filly and more so about the mare who probably doesn't understand, but I'm better.

I decided to stop at Jack 'n the Box and get breakfast. I usually get the steak & egg breakfast burrito combo but now they have a new pita egg sammy thing.  It didn't sound as good but I couldn't overlook the calories they have posted. The burrito combo was close to 1200 calories and the pita combo was close to 900, so I got the pita combo. Big mistake! It was very disappointing.

We have a bird feeder right outside our kitchen window hanging on a tree branch. Yesterday DH said he looked out the window and the feeder was on the ground and a big squirrel was sitting there eating all the bird food. Apparently he'd chewed thru the string holding it to the tree so it would fall. DH rehung it with a wire hanger but I was so bummed that I missed seeing all of that. We never get critters of any kind in our neck of the woods.

*ugh* a scenting dog alerted on a package in the tallest building in Downtown Dallas. They evacuated. I hope the dog is wrong or it's just some kind of fertilizer or something someone ordered. Scary stuff. My husband used to work there in that building, on the 68th floor. Glad he's not there today because I'd be a wreck.
