It's Monday chat!

Callie - I'll be thinking good thoughts for Billy tomorrow. Hope the surgery goes smoothly.

Lisa - I'm so sorry for your dad's friend and the incredible pain he must be feeling. I hope the dad will accept all the love and support that's being offered to him.

I've had a wonderful day off and couldn't have asked for better weather. Unfortunately, it's due to change and get gloomy again.

I did some grocery shopping, laundry, baking and made a huge pasta dish that should feed us for the next few days. DH is working and I always get in a cooking and cleaning mood when I have the house to myself.

I got home from grocery shopping just in time to see a cute little filly being born. Sweet!!

I worked the weekend, so it's my week of half shifts..hurray!  So, picked Clive up from daycare/sitter early and we've been hanging out...well...he's been sleeping in the swing, but that's neither here nor there.

Goose still recovering well from her spay...I'm not used to having to tell a Chow to tone down the activity...darned little active smooth dog.   So far she's been jumping over the garden fence and on the couch. Bad Goose.  Grimm does not help with his instigating.

And, speaking of Grimm, he (and the tiny poodle) keep stealing Clive's pacifiers..we're down to one again.  They've eaten like 5 of themConfused

Charlie must have destroyed about 30 of Riley's pacifiers...I was buying them in bulk and couldn't figure out how he kept getting ahold of them until I saw her giving them to him...they were already in cahoots at 3 months of age.

Callie thoughts and prayers for Billy (((HUGS)))

Rupert never stole any pacifiers. I remember Marlania talking about feeding her baby with a bottle, and suddenly the baby was choking and she realized milk was pouring out all over the baby's face. She found out that while the bottle nipples were in the drying rack, one of the cats had chewed on it and put a ton of holes in it. Big Smile

I checked out a daycare today, and Willa didn't want to leave! She was clingy at first, but then dove right into the toys. She's starting tomorrow, just mornings two days a week while I'm at work. I know it's going to be rough though. She's going to scream and cry when I leave. I'll keep the goodbye short and sweet, then cry all the way to work. Embarrassed She's never been left with anyone besides me, DH, or her two grammas. I tried leaving her at the Y childcare, but she cried the entire half hour I worked out. I also tried once when I went to visit my sister and we went to church. She was in the church nursery for about 5 minutes before they paged me. Wish us luck!

Good luck tomorrow (well today by now) Jan.  I am the same with you, Riley has never stayed with a non family member before.  It will get easier and your goodbye process seems like a good one.  She will love going and it will be good for her.  I wish we would have gotten Riley into daycare a couple of days a week.  She starts school next year and it will definitely be an eye opener for everyone.  (((HUGS)))
