Tina, no. It was just the tip of the toe and a bit of the nail. What came off was pretty danged groady from the socks and the boot and sawdust. They just closed the toe and the one next to it. A ton of tiny little sutures....think the ER doc must have been a frustrated plastic surgeon! It's toes for goodness sakes. They are ugly before you cut into them with a skill saw!
Now, guys, if I had a chain saw this wouldn't have happened. It's when I have to "make do" because DH is afraid I'd chop off a body part with a chain saw that accidents happen. I suspect that now if I went out and bought one, DH wouldn't fuss more than he normally does with the safety lectures.......
At 7 AM we had 16 inches of snow and it was coming down at the rate of about 3 inches an hour, so heaven knows how much is out there now. The guys shoveled a path and area for the dogs, and then just at the top of the driveway where the plow had gone. The wheelbase on DH's truck is high enough to get through what we've got. when it's done, we'll have the guy across the road plow.
It's danged inconvenient having all this mess. I wanted nothing more than a nice long soak last nite but had to sit in the tub backwards with my foot sticking out. Sigh. And having a smoke?? Geeze. Getting down the stairs so I can go to the garage and smoke makes it not so worth while!
Could someone pass the cheese to go along with my whine please? I HATE being slowed down by anything.
