    Tuesday talkin'

Hit the ground running this morning.

Deb, I hope your headache subsided.

    Back later!

    • Gold Top Dog

Every day just keeps on being so unbelievably busy.  Partly cos there are so many IMHA dogs right now *and* demodex dogs (cos it's post-Christmas *sigh*) and work continues to be incredibly busy.

So -- I'll break things up today.  At 4 I get to go have a root canal RE-DONE?

Gee ... can I just have any MORE fun elsewhere? *rolling eyes*

Headache's gone !   Got a good nights sleep (or what passes as a good nights sleep for me) too !!  Ok, so this weeks drama is that Kate has been on the waiting list for a single dorm room for the past two years.  She got word yesterday that one is available for her.  The only thing is that they can't officially assign her to a new room until all her stuff is out of her old room so they can re-assign that room.  So now we have to drive to Amherst tommorow and get all her stuff and put it into storage until she can move back in on move in day on the 17th. Confused

Tina:  at least your son only lost the remote!!!  LOL

Callie, that does sound FUN Sad  DH had one redone several years ago (mind you, he's only 25 now) and last year had to have it extracted. Sorry, hope it goes well for you.

Deb, that sounds better than Callie's root canal, but still not the highlight of your day I bet.  Nice that she'll get a single, though.  I only lived in dorms for one year, and only had a roommate for one semester so it wasn't terrible.

I'm already tired of work and ready for a vacation and it's only been one day.

Lovin' the pictures of little Avery though!

all you guys that are tired of work??  SOME of us would LOVE to have a job.  I'm just saying......

It is rather cold here today, and I understand that the snow that hit California is heading our way?  Another weekend of snow??  Please, let it run out of steam and just die someplace.

Ginger?  Are you close to the town with the dead birds and fish?  That is bizarre and kind of scary!

    Have a great day everyone!

Wow deb, that is stupid. Sounds like someone is sticking to rules instead of thinking things through logically.

the doc said I can blow now. Yay.

I am looking forward to the day that I can breathe thru my nose.

Super stupid! I got spoiled in college - after freshman year, most kids at my school had single rooms. There was even a (small) dorm where all the rooms had private bathrooms!! Oh, how I longed for that dorm!! (It was about 2/3 students who got doctors to write notes for one reason or another that they needed a private bathroom for "medical reasons." Hmpf. Yeah right.)

Glenda, keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! I drove through your neck of the woods last week - went up to Manchester, VT to the outlets to exchange some Christmas presents. I was with BF's family so couldn't stop, but I did wave in your general direction, so hope you got the warm fuzzies ;)

I left Rascal with BF's parents for the month... not at all happy about that, but I will be traveling for 2 of the 4 weeks in January, and I don't have any other good place to leave him for any length of time. And he's happy there, and they don't mind having him, so I think it will be better for him than being shuttled back and forth endlessly. But I miss him a ton!!

I'm back at work today and things are a little crazy! Not with work in general, but more with my disorganized post-holiday chaos. Shame on me! Back to the grindstone!

I think I'm falling apart at the ripe "old" age of 29 (ok won't be 29 until this weekend lol but close enough). First, it was my elbows last weekend. Since then, my neck has been getting increasingly sore and now its stiff and I can't move my head downward! Arrrrrg. The Icy Hot stuff is helping some. I'm glad I bought that economy sized bottle of ibprofen...

Today is mad scramble day to get all the end of the month reporting in. I will breath a sigh of relief once that is all done and taken care of! Busy day, but not particularly stressful. The reporting stuff is easy to do, just time consuming.

Cita that's stinky about Rascal. Sounds like though he'll at least be somewhere he likes during that time you have to be away.

It's a drizzly yucky morning but fairly warm for January.  DH must have called me six times this morning to tell me he was in the line from hades to get on base where he works. They implemented new security measures and everyone should have updated their access cards but as usual many didn't pay attention and it took him 45 minutes to get up to the gate.  I get that he was frustrated and bored but I could have lived without the constant updating to tell me he's still in line. Tongue Tied

Ruger's family got in late last night.  Ruger was super happy to see his dad this morning and dad was happy to see his dawg.  :)  I didn't mind keeping him but it will be nice to only have four dogs. Four dogs.  I must be insane.

Haven't really had a chance to totally catch up, but I hope everyone had a safe, happy and not too eventful (unless it was in a good way) holiday!

I am back at work today after taking more days off than working over the last 2 weeks.  I love taking a lot of time off over the end of the year holidays but HATE coming back in January because it means tax season has officially started!  UGH!

Our house officially goes on the market today...I am both really excited and extremely nervous.  I just hope everything works out for the best!  Izzy started coming to work with me today too until it sells.  I don't think a neurotically barking dog would be a good selling point.  :)  She came in and immedietly peed on an animal skin rug when we got here.  I got that all cleaned up and a crate and bed set up for her.  I have buzzed the phone intercom down a few times and don't hear her whining anymore so I am really hopeful that with one day with no one in the house to be able to adjust to her new daytime home, she will be OK.

I am sure most people already saw on FB but the most exciting news is that on Thursday when I went to my 13 week checkup, I ended up getting a U/S and found out we are having a BOY!!!!  My husband and I are absolutely thrilled!  It is a super early gender reading but my sonographer said that at 13 weeks, it is much easier for him to tell than at 12 weeks.  He predicted D at 12 weeks but told us he wasn't sure.  This time, he typed boy and printed me a picture and said he was 99% sure.  He is known for being able to tell really early and is really good at what he does.  I could see the boy parts before he even told me so I feel pretty good about it.  :)  I know they say every pregnancy is different but this one has had so many different things that I really thought and hoped it might be a boy.  :)

OK, off to the grind!  Hope everyone has a great day!

Boy's... RULE Sarah. Smile I thought of you too thinking about our taxes needing doing soon...lol. dh does ours tho, they're pretty simple he says. Uncle Sam hasn't taken our 1stborn hostage yet so I guess he's doing okay.

I was going to go to lunch with Eli but now this stupid vet office call back is taking so long I might have to stick around. Nothing urgent and they'd prolly leave a message but still, I hate missing calls on the rare occasion I actually WANT to talk to them. lol!

good vibes to all who need them.

I'm already tired of work and ready for a vacation and it's only been one day.

Me too!! I know there are people who'd love to have a job, so I try to keep my whining to a minimum but having a week off sure made me appreciate not working.

Check out this sweet girl - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rAvWSOeUn8

She's been adopted (yay!!) but my first day at the rescue, I fell in love with her. I guess they evaluated her for SAR and she did fantastic but they said 4 y.o. is too old and wouldn't take her.

Deb - stuff like that dorm issue make my blood boil. Super Angry

Callie - I hope the root canal goes smoothly for you.

Julie - Congrats on the go ahead to blow Stick out tongue

I couldn't fall asleep last night until close to midnight. I tried counting sheep and mentally singing "99 bottles of beer on the wall...." and nothing helped. Fortunately, I don't feel too tired today. The drive in was interesting. One minute I need my sunglasses on and then hit a wall of fog and couldn't see a thing. Not fun.

     Me, three!

Gina, nice new siggie "pretend it says 2011"... hahah!

I won't hear back from my sister about Patrick until the end of today - she will be going there for the consult/review of the x-rays and cytology  after she leaves work because she doesn't want them calling her at work and her losing it and not being able to function.  I told her it's completely reasonable - 3 or 4 hours won't make a difference in taking action to treat him.  I feel so badly for her.

    nice new siggie

I can't wait to make one!!!  Some day!  LOL

Yikes....noone likes hearing these words!! Is everything OK???

Did I ever mention I HATE SHOPPING!!!  Damn coupons and old people (sorry if this might be you) ...it's almost enough to give me a hernia!  LOL  I NEVER see younger people using coupons!  OH....and then the change purse comes out and they TRY to count out the exact change!

It's beautiful outside so gonna have to take advantage of it!

    Cheers
