I was thinking the same thing, have everyone sign their name or something once they get on here, so we can see how many people are getting on and who are missing.

You guys did a good job with the new format, they only thing i miss are the old smileys. LOL!

Down at the bottom of the page you can see who is signed on, posting and lurking

I too liked the old smileys but you can save them on your PC and still use them

Thanks for your kind words...I think once everyone gets used to all they can do here they will enjoy it

This design makes it look really large and a bit intimitating.....is there a tutorial???? Help those of us who are technologically challenged. [8|]

Jaime - I can't view whose on (posting, lurking, etc.). Maybe that's a feature only you have...or maybe nobody but me is here [

Cakana, I'm here with you, it's a big scary new board, we'll navigate it together...heheheee.....you can see who is on if you go to the main screen and scroll all the way down to the bottom. I think it's the screen that shows all the main topics. I agree, the smiley's are easy to add, but I'm a huge dork and what I think they mean is probably not what they mean....the other one said in the title of the smiley what it was supposed to be.

Jaime, can that be added? Or would that be a huge pain in the tush? Ok, so I am adding more work, but if I could help you I would love to help.

Oh....figured out how to see all the posts like in the old board, like the flat posts....[

ok, this is sort of sucky. Sorry, but the thing I loved about hte old format was the ability to quickly see which threads had new posts, and by whom. Now If I click on today's posts, there are at least four, (quickly growing), pages to scroll through, and every post on each thread shows up seperately instead of just the thread title with everybody's name underneath it. I get the flat thing, so you can at least read everybody's posts at once and actually follow the thread. But the great utility of being able to quickly log on, load the "last day" tree, and see which threads had new posts by whether they were blue or purple has been lost. I'm afraid I'm outta here, which is sad, because I have learned so much, even though I don't post much.

Ginger, at the bottom of the main page there is a spot to click for today's posts and one for posts since your last visit. Hope that helps.[sm=wink2.gif]

Ya know, I wandered over to the new horse forum over the weekend and I wanted it for US. I think this format is really cool. It's gonna take a bit of getting used to but it's pretty darned easy to use for me, and I'm an old fart with limited 'puter skills.....
