    Merry Christmas Eve/Happy Friday Chat

Morning all!  The sleep machine wasn't working very well last night, so I've been up for a couple hours already.  That certainly wasn't in the game plan!  Yikes.  The problem with being up so early is that I can't DO anything around the house without waking someone else up so I just have to be quiet.

I do have a few quick errands to run today.....oppps, forgot to pick up dog food.....but other than that, am hoping for a quiet and easy day.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day today!

     Merry Christmas Christmas people.

I'd like to get through to tonight. I am working all morning. Technically, I am working tonight, but not really. I'll be at the Christmas party at that house, and I am invited to partake in the party fair. I went to an excellent party last night. Tacos at a Christmas party=excellent.

    Merry Christmas Eve!

I am finally done all my shopping and wrapping!  I just have to tidy the house a bit this morning and pack our stuff and we are off to DH's parents place this afternoon when DH gets home from work.  DH is so cute.  I gave him a list of a couple small things I wanted for Christmas, he went shopping last night and came home all excited because he didn't get anything from my "list" - he got me something entirely different.  He said he even went to three different stores to find it (which is a huge deal if you know my DH).  I have no idea what it is, but now I am all excited.  LOL.

    Merry Christmas eve!

I am going to be making some bread and cookies today.....and then wrapping some presents. Other than that I have nothing planned!

If the cats are friendly, you could put a collar on them with a note that says "is this is your cat, please call..." That way if no one claims it you can get it to rescue. If someone does claim it, maybe they will keep it indoors after talking to you. A friend did this and found out the cat belonged to a co-worker!

Anyway, christmas eve is a day to relax for me. I don't do any christmas eve parties today / tonight. 1 family function day is enough! Its a good thing too because my sinuses are really bad today. Only a few more days of hell then I will be all better!

you know, I really think it's odd when someone calls you and says "Who's this?"  I replied - "You called ME, how can I help you?"  "I think someone called me from this number last night"  "Well, no, they did not.  Sorry.  Goodbye."  I never made any outbound calls last night, not even by accident to some strange dude.  Weird  I was irritated enough that I didn't even offer a Merry Christmas.  Whoops

My parents Dobe is on the way to the vet right now - swollen paws.  Good vibes for Zoe??  We're supposed to go to my uncle's tonight.  While I really want to see him, the thought of driving an hour to waste every useful hour of today (while stores are still open), is bothering me.  I gotta decide shortly...

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

    Merry Christmas Eve everyone.

I'm off today and so glad for nothing to do. We went to dinner with DH's family last night and it was yummy and nice to see everyone. It's a little hard to chat with 15 people spread out at a long table though. The grandbaby is getting so big and cuter every day. She was the star of the evening and seemed to love all the attention.

     vibes to zoe!

    Merry Christmas Eve all!

Gorgeous day here - cold but bright sunshine and no wind (yippee for that last bit!)

Met Heather last night - that was fun!! Bugsy was not on his best and was a nut job at the door - someday, someday he'll be all grown up, sigh

The vizsla pup is at my moms - I've gotten a few pics via text message (ie poor quality) but she is adorable and moving fast! - she going to stay the night with mom and BIL will pick her up tomorrow morning to bring home to the kids - I sooooooooooooooooooooooooo wish I was there!

Took a long walk with B this morning - DH was with us and it started with Bugsy getting scent of cat at the bottom of the drive and launching himself over the juniper while on lead in DH's grasp.  I was 40 ft behind them and I don't know who I was angrier with.  It took ages to settle B down and then we ran into a couple we know who own two reactive dogs.  Their dogs get so worked up the wind up going at each other.  I kept B a distance away from that but he was worked up all over again.  Fast forward to being on our way home and we meet a doggie friend and one of those two reactive dogs just mentioned escapes its yard and comes flying at us hackles raised. I was flipping furious.  I pushed the dog away a couple of times and told it to go home, and the owner came and got him.  I was really furious.  Fortunately the last 3/4 mile was uneventful.  He's crashed out next to me.

Relaxing day ahead then church and dinner at a nice restaurant

Not sure but it happened to Sassy a couple years ago and it came on quickly. She could barely walk and it was obvious at a glance that her paws were swollen. We took her in and the vet put her on Pred and by day 2, the swelling was gone and it's never happened again.

Vibes for Zoe. Hope it's nothing serious.

GabbyG was ready to have breakfast at 5 am this morning. :(  She would not be quiet and was babbling away interspersed with a howl or two.  I'm usually up then but had hoped to sleep in a bit this morning.  She's very hard for me to get upset with as she has the ability to charm while being annoying.  lol

I had to go out this morning and get DH a gift. I was a bit ticked off because I could have sworn we agreed not to buy anything for each other this year.  I saw him sneaking a bag into the bedroom yesterday and asked last night what it was and he said he got me a little something.  I felt I had to go find him something, which wasn't on the agenda today.  I got him a blu ray movie that I think he'll like.

Our weather is very unChristmasy.  Warm and showery.  We do need the rain desperately.

I have some food prep to do for tomorrow but nothing that can't be done fairly easily.  Nothing much planned other than wrapping a few presents.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy your holiday. :)

That's what I was thinking, too.  They've been battling allergies w/her for months, so who knows.  He just pulled in at my mom's house, so I should know soon...

Edit - Zoe has a fungus in her feet.  I have no idea what kind/cause.  My mom was too busy talking about how to meet up to drive to my Uncle's.  I hate the chaos of the holidays.  Just sayin'...
