tonight calls for chocolate, wine and a bubble bath.

You know ... if you ever decide to leave your job, you can always plan a cruise for me!!  I mean that sounds like JUST the perfect evening -- toss in a completely socially-worthless romance novel and I'm IN!!!

GKTW tomorrow -- now that I've got my vet all psyched about GKTW he's wanting to come meet us in the morning so he can see the place.    I'm tickled any time I can make a "convert".  LOL

Then Saturday afternoon is devoted to that wonderful man named Wally who is the wizard with my hair!!  (and every month his job gets harder -- trust me on that LOL)

I can only imagine how good that felt after over six hours of searching.  My hat's off to you and your teams.  Sorry the person wasn't found. :(

Nicole, you're a better woman than me to host that shower but I'm not a comfortable hostess and it would be a form of torture to me. lol  Hope they find the reason for your DH's vertigo.

It's kind of like trying to force yourself to feel something that you "know" you should feel and that you want to feel.  The harder you try, the further you push that desired feeling away.  Been there, done that.  This year, I've actually gotten into the spirit of Christmas.  I really think the card swap played a big part in that.  Thanks, Jez. :)

 Oh gosh, I just agreed to keep 2 granddaughters, ages 4 and 2, tomorrow...so Mom and Dad can shop.  Ya mean they have not done that yet???

Dear bad back...please cooperate!  And they will put up my big tree for me after...other 2 yr old granddaughter from FL will be here for Christmas and she needs the big one.  

I guess the rush is on....

I was heading towards being a major Scrooge (the BEFORE type not the after one) this year and I inundated myself with Christmas reading material and somehow it did the trick.

Karen, sometimes it's just the way it is.  And you know what?  It will likely help you next year -- cos some years are just like that.

Tina, can I come over for NYE?  Espresso & sex sound like a great combo to me!  (Fingers crossed that they can get the espresso machine repaired.)

Marilyn, I don't hate you.  I envy you.  All of my adult life, I have wished to be retired!

DH & DS1, are driving to the deer lease tonight.  I am waiting for them to arrive & call to check in before I go to bed.  I hate that they decided to drive tonight, & would have felt much better had they waited until in the morning. 

We have nine, ten year old boys here for the night for DS2's Christmas party.  Aside from one kid telling me that I filled my shirt out nicely, they have been very well behaved.  Brinxx is playing chaperone.  She adores DS & never leaves his side, so she's been in the den with the boys for the past 6 hours. 

Good thoughts to all, hope everyone is enjoying their wine and chocolate and hot tubs (thinking about gettin in my hot tub shortly!). 

Just glad today is done with.  Christmas vacation starts tomorrow, so I get to have a break from teaching, yahoo!  Life with the temporary pet sitting cocker spaniel,Bella, is alright.  She has assumed alpha, however, and is keeping Echo in line.  She is bigger than the bichon girls, so she can put a little punch behind her warnings I guess.    It's a houseful though, with 4 dogs.  This has quenched my "I want another puppy" thirst for sure! Not for a long, long time.  I can see now, if Lexi and Darby weren't so completely couch potato and sleeping most of the day- if all 3 of my dogs had Echo's or Bella's energy, it would be utter chaos.   Hooray for my learning moment!  Now I have until Jan 3 to really let that set in! LOL

DD threw up tonight, though the neighbor brought over a bunch of cookies while I was out shopping and DH stayed home with the kiddos.  Methinks there was just too many sweets eaten.  She has no fever.

That's all from here I guess.  Send me all your "no more rain!!" vibes.  The yard is a swamp and the dogs think the carpet is their new toilet.  Ugh!
