Marilyn, don't worry about commenting on Tina's mention of espresso and sex.  We're all used to the fact that her mind is in the gutter most of the time.  ***ducks and runs**   Hope your Christmas party is fun and that you don't have any problems due to the snow.   I do hate you because you're retired and look forward to being hated  for that reason. lol

I ate mexican food for lunch and the charro beans were so hot I could barely eat a few bites.  The restaraunt owner gave me an invitation to a customer appreciation dinner for tomorrow.   I eat there way too often, considering how fattening mexican food is but I'm a complete addict.

I am feeling almost human and may make it through the work day after all.

Oh man, I can not wait until I can say that too. Good for you though and I hope your travel goes smoothly. I freak out when we have rainy weather here, so I'd be a basket case if it snowed. I'm pretty sure I'd never leave the house.

I played several rounds of bejeweled blitz and now my eyes are are wonky. Maybe if I should try to focus on some actual work.

Jackie - I would eat Mexican food every day of the week if I could. I'm so envious and now I'm super hungry and not for the turkey lasagna thingy I brought.

Jackie, Mexican food has a tendency to totally clear the sinus's and that might be why you are feeling humaner.  More human?

I'm trying to take it easy today, but also have some stuff that has to be done, most notably the house is a bit of a mess.  I'm getting there, but using the balance of the massive tub of ground beef needed to come before cleaning.  Made an enormous batch of burritos and also put together a meatloaf for the freezer.  I have wierd guys...they LOVE meatloaf.......

Blech!  Back to the cleaning.

 I really really really want some Mexican food now! There's no Mexican restaurants near to me though and now I'm craving the Mexican I used to get with an ex from this tiny little whole in the wall restaurant in Massachusetts. I don't even remember their name, only the place looked sketchy lol, but the employees were awesome and the food was to die for. Maybe I'll make some nachos for dinner tonight.

I just made an impromptu decision to go visit my sister this weekend. I'm only taking Sonja, though, so I can't tell Willa where we're going! She is just too much of a pain in the you-know-where in the car on long trips. Plus it will be good for her to be detached from my hip for a while.

Mmmmm... Mexican food.

I also want to lay on the couch and watch a good movie. The problem is I took the covers off the couch cushions and washed them and haven't put them back on yet. That's going to be a major pita and is going to get in the way of relaxation time, darn it all. Where's my maid when I need her?

Just throw a sheet over the cushions. :)   How did the search go?

Nothing to do w/customers, this time...  Although, I was called a "charming" bulldog in reference to how I resolved something for someone in 24 hours, vs the 3 weeks it had been outstanding.

I think we're going to get enough rain over the next week or so to float the ark, which unfortunately won't do a dang thing to ease the drought conditions. The last time I heard someone on TV going on about the perpetual drought, he said there's plenty of water for everyone ... it's just that the conveyances are old and worn out and more are needed and of course there's no money in the budget for repairing, replacing or adding on. Except for the grocery store though, I don't really have anyplace I absolutely need to go - thank doG.

Hi everyone! Just poppin' in to see how everyone is doing.  Other than Tina needing some of her guy time, it seems like all is holding fairly steady ;)

DH has been having a lot of dizziness/vertigo so I was able to get him into an ear specialist on Wed.  Good thing we both already have the day off since many of the ear therapies temporarily make the dizziness worse, but I was hoping for a bit more of a good time on my birthday.  Hahaha, who'm I kidding, i've already started celebrating.... although, on one hand, I don't want to get older, I *do* want birthday cake!

I somehow got suckered into having a baby shower at my house.  I don't *really* mind, but it's 35 people, half or more of which I don't really know that well.  It's for a close friend, and two of those planning it are closee friends, and needed a place to have it.  I'm thrilled they like my house enough to want to have it here, and they did promise to clean both beforehand and afterwards if necessary but still.  At least it's only for about 2 hours...

Off to go take a nice warm bath and read a book.  So excited that I'm done with grad school for ever :)

Now I'm laying on the couch, with a sheet over the cushions (thanks jackie!) And abbie is cuddled up with me. Now, if I don't fall asleep first, I need to catch up on emails, fb and idog posts!

Jackie, no luck on the search but it still went well. We had 5 dog teams and covered all the areas the police wanted us to cover plus a little more. It was 6+ hours of walking through snow drifts, fields, woods and brush. My legs are mush.

There have been so many people reported missing in mi over the last 2 weeks, its crazy.
