But, Mike did a nice thing for me before he died - he told me to get myself a present each year for my birthday and at Christmas, as if it was from him. 

But, no matter what I buy, it's the memory of him wanting me to have anything I ever wanted that is the best gift of all. 

This is so touching.

I would like one of those things that used to be on "Star Trek TNG" - the thing that's programmed with a bazillion menus and you just stand in front of it and tell it what you want to eat ... and Voila!! ... it magically appears in the little door, cooked to perfection.  That, or a personal chef.
