Your Christmas list?

FH and I aren't doing gifts this year. We want to, but with the couple job rough spots we had, the extra cash isn't there.

Willow, PM me about the Wii Fit. I have the Plus game and don't use it anymore.

I didn't ask for anything since I've apparently been too naughty and Santa won't be by.  Same thing happened last year.

ROTF!!  I dont think so Tina...you are definately not the naughty type!

ETA:  I love smart wool socks, mine are just about thread bare.  I had some alpaca sock before that were the very best ever but cant find them around here anymore.

I am just thankful to have a job, right now. Trying to pay bills, the red hot screaming ones, first. But, since I got into golf this year, I mentioned that anyone could simply get me golf balls. If I can ever get back to where I can afford to play a game, I will lose plenty in the rough and a few in the water traps.

You know what's just about EVIL????  Today, in the dept next to ours, someone walked around dressed in some costume (looked like Santa-ish, saying "Merry Christmas";) and gave all the employees.... over THERE... SmartWool socks!!  Such a tease!  That's the group that gets to go to Sundance Film Fest in January!  They're gonna get all kinds of goodies.  Pout!

I asked for a flash for my SLR camera, some fuzzy slippers, PJ pants, and maybe some Body Shop stuffs.

We're doing a small Xmas this year, what the recent house purchase, so we need to save money for the move and some final closing costs that will inevitably appear. The final word on being approved for the house was Christmas gift enough! Now, the hard part is the waiting. March 1st will be our real Christmas!

I asked for a flash kit also!! DH finally said yesterday, okay go ahead and order it. (He doesn't go online, EVER) Well, of course, Amazon is now out of stock of it... Oh well, I'll either wait and see if they get it back or just save longer and wait for the individual parts to drop in price some more.

Since Mike died, I don't really get a lot.  The kids don't have much, and my parents are gone.  My best friend is about the only person I would ever ask for something if I was going to, but I like her surprises.  As long as my dogs & the kids are healthy, and there's a roof over...I'm fine.  But, Mike did a nice thing for me before he died - he told me to get myself a present each year for my birthday and at Christmas, as if it was from him.  So, that's exactly what I do.  This year, it's practical.  I'm getting the stuff I need to finish my new dog pen, deck and ramp.  But, no matter what I buy, it's the memory of him wanting me to have anything I ever wanted that is the best gift of all.

Anne, I'm pretty much in the same boat...things will never be the way they used to be, and it's hard to be as festive as I used to be.  I try to be festive for my kids and 3 grands...soon to be 4.  And yes, I buy myself something...I know he would have wanted that, even though he never had a chance to say so.  So I have a new Zojirushi bread machine on the way. I love homemade bread, but my bad back doesn't like the work.  I gave the old one to my DIL...she is not much of a cook, but would love to give this a try.  If she has some success, hey, maybe a new one would be a good gift later!
