    Day before Turkey day chat

Sending vibes to my sister who is in surgery

Prying a rabbit out of Bugsy's mouth at 6:15 am is not a great start to the day

I want to start my holiday today but am busy through at least 3

The neighbor's son's dog is in town - which will lead to much BBD insanity - like it or not

    Have a great day all!

    Liar - Big Smile

Forgot to add that they are trying to make a news story at the airport security this morning and on the last update the newswoman said, "I don't know if its just this airport but everyone is happy and things are moving fine"  That cracked me up - they've been updating since 6am

Karen, does Bugsy need a sister?  It says Lab mix, but she looks very similar to Bugs.

Oh no, prying a rabbit from a dogs mouth is a horrible start to a day!

I woke up this morning thinking "just 8 hrs. I just need to make it through the next 8 hrs". Can you tell I'm needing these next 4 days off?

I had a couple long conversations with some people I respect about washing neiko out of sar and focusing on abbie. I think I know that it would be for the best but damn, its a hard decision to make and I don't want to make it. It feels like I'm cutting off my left leg! And there's no guarantee that I can't get neiko there or that abbie will make it. Bleh.

Sending good vibes to your sister, Karen.   Bugs, Survivorman wouldn't ever have to eat dandelions again if he had you.  Sorry that happened Karen.  Not a great start to your day.

Tina, I'll be looking for your contrail later today. lol   Have a great weekend!

Julie, no advice but much empathy.  I've been is similar situations with retrievers that I've put a ton of time and work in.

My day isn't starting that well but I'm shaking it off and looking forward to this long weekend.

It's WINDY here today and all last night. Apparently, according to Ari, that meant sleeping on top of me for most of the night. I woke up to her laying her upper body on my stomach/chest area. When she sensed I was awake, she leaned her head back and kissed my chin. I promptly snuggled in closer to her and as a result got a later start than intended, but tell me who could resist?!

Tomorrow we make a trip to MA to my Aunts for Turkey Day. I'm looking forward to getting out of the house. I feel bad that Ari will have to be kenneled but we'll do something fun together in the morning before we have to leave.

I had to do the same thing! Gross thing was it was only half a rabbit. And I had Rueben on a leash!! Cheyanne and her lovely gifts at this time of the year. She is now on lock down.

I am jealous of all you Americans and your delicious turkey dinners you will be eating this weekend! YUM!

DH and I are going to our friends place for dinner tonight. His friend's GF just learned how to make homemade apple pies, crust and all, so she's been making pies left right and center and they need help eating them! LOL. I am happy to be of service in this case.

DH and I have his brother and wife and kids coming over this weekend. It is our attempt to make nice and get along again. Wish us luck. Realistically, it should go well, I think they've both independently decided to forget all the crap and pretend like it didn't happen and go from there. Hopefully that's the right approach - time will tell I guess. I really don't have time or energy for fighting though, so it's best to just put everything behind us. We are excited to see the kids - now that they are both in school, it seems like something switched in the parents' heads and they are letting the kids have more freedom and they have self confidence now, so they are acting like normal silly goofy kids, which is awesome to see. :)

Hi All!  Good vibes for your sis, Karen.

I'm back from the doctor.  magnesium is VERY low.  Vit D a little low.  Shoulder is still hurting like heck, but at least no spasms.  Very likely tendonitis and some bursitis as well.  On top of everything else.  Lovely.  It is hoped that the magnesium supplement will help with the spasms.  Magnesium taurate, which is supposed to be mroe bio-available.  Todays visit was pretty short and sweet since he's trying to get out of the office early.....then, don't book patients maybe??

Checking in and catching up. I haven't really been as active here in the last week or so, just been a little busy.  Life is treating me alright but now with the holidays starting up I really miss my family and friends.

I work tomarrow but I have Friday off so I'll be making a little mini Thanksgiving meal for just the BF and I.  I have a fresh pumpkin that is going to be turned into pie along with bread, yams, potatos and of course the cranberry sauce all ready to go.  I also bought a stuffed chicken since a whole turkey is way too big for two people. It won't be the same as the giant family meals I am going to miss but at least it will feel sorta right.

Karen - I'll be thinking good thoughts for your sister today.

Tina - I hope you have a wonderful time with your friend and his family.

Julie - I'm sad for you. Not sure what I'd do in your shoes but I know you'll make the best decision possible.

I'm really dragging today so I stopped at Jack 'n the Box and got a full fat burrito, taters and OJ and now I feel stuffed and ready for a nap.

Baby it's cold this morning and was cold last night. I woke up at 4 AM to see DH holding a flashlight and trying to figure out why the pool computer thingy hadn't turned on all the freeze protection but only the filters for the pool. He finally got it all going but by then, I was wide awake.

My boss called me yesterday to say "happy thanksgiving" and let me know I should leave 1/2 day today if I wanted to. I have some work to get done though and will go to the gym around noonish but at least I can leave early.

Cleaning cleaning cleaning, today. I got my kitchen done, the rest is just minor maintenence thanks to the weekend hit dh and I did on all other parts of the house.

Does anyone else...likely speaking to the parents here, find it EXCEEDINGLY creepy when you're picking up toys and you think you are done, and then you see one of those little green army men, sitting in a PERFECT concealed position to take you out? Maybe that's just me...but I think it's creepy. I mean they weren't there a second ago...I specifically went around looking for toys to pick up!

    It's like they're simply waiting for orders...LMBO!

Anyhow enough of my nuttiness....hope everyone is doing great this day 'afore Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of you, each and every one...and I wish you every good thing today and all days!

ETA: Oh, and you know what what's amazing? Today the high is supposed to be EIGHTY DEGREES...you know what tomorrow's high is due to be? FORTY FIVE. No joke! If that don't make ya sick...nuthin' will!

Happy T-Day Eve to all!   I am going to brave the store in a while, I procrastinated. Fortunately, the stuff I need is not your typical thanksgiving fare so I'm hoping it won't be picked over too badly.

I think the kids' flu is on the mend.  Phew, what a week!

My mom was dx'd with diabetes yesterday and her doctors are just completely perplexed.  She is lean, active, healthy.  Has been feeling 'off' lately and unusually tired and this is what they find.  Today they find out if it's type 1 or 2.  They also found she has a fatty liver. She never drinks so it's not from that.  I did some reading that fatty liver and diabetes go hand in hand.

So now, of course I am worried for me (for my kids) that since I already have insulin resistance it's dang near inevitable that I'll end up with it :(   top that off with about 70 extra pounds lingering around year after year and it looks pretty bleak.   Ok, I'll stop with the woe.

My mom was so confused and sad about the whole thing.  She has always eaten healthily, you should see the wonderful salads she makes.  Anyway...   bleh.
