all the dogs were found dumped on the side of the road sort of and were "rounded up"

That's the update? So they found all of them? Well that's a relief... they were alive right?

Was the Westminster Dog Show escapee ever found, after escaping his cage at the airport in New York, I believe?  I never did hear the outcome.

    I'm confused. [:(]

Where were they found?  I live not too far from Renton and I could just imagine these twerps (theguys who stole the van) dumping all the dogs along I-5. Grrrr...

I just saw on my Elkhound list that the evan is still missing, but all the dogs were recoverd and are OK.  [:)]

Here's an update on Vivi, the Whippet who escaped her crate at JFK.  Looks like she hasn't been caught yet, but has been sighted.

Oh that will be nice to think that the dogs are okay,,who cares about the van...except the owner.

Really, the van is not a life.  Im glad to hear the dogs were okay!

I never leave my dogs in the car by themselves.  I am afraid someone might steal them!
    Too prescious.
It makes me angry to see dogs left in cars alone on warm days.  Why don't people think?

Was there ever an update on Snowball?  (The little white dog that got left behind because they couldnt take her on the bus to get away when Katrina hit.)

I've spent most of my life in Washington. It rarely gets up to  90 in the summer unless you're in Eastern Washington. I suppose the lady was doing something important, and the dogs were all resting in the vehicle.

At least they're all alive and well.

It seemed to me they are show dogs and it was a show sunday. They were probably put away before or after,,,,who knows for how long. Not many months ago my same Dane board posted the same type of story. Never showed a dog, never went to a show...but I guess these people do this. I think the last time I heard this it was over night while the people were in their hotel rooms.  I guess I wouldnt be showing my dog if I had to go out of town with her and leave her in a car while I slept,,or took care of any kind of business. I remember years ago I wanted to run to the store when I was doggy sitting Ollie, and I told Mike I couldn't watch him quite yet because I had to pick something up at the store and he told me to take Ollie with me and leave him in the car for the couple of minutes I would be in the store..and I told him "heck no, someone might steal him!" Mike thought I was crazy that I was afraid someone would steal a Great Dane....but NOPE,,, I'm not taking any chances.

No, Vivi hasn't been found yet.  There's a blog out there that's dedicated to updates.  I don't have the URL handy though.

Chances are the vehicle was running, the A/C was on and the owners were out doing more dog show stuff.  I leave my guy in his truck all the time, with the a/c on and the truck idling.  Not that anyone would come anywhere near the truck because X looks like a raving lunatic when someone comes too close to his truck.  It's horrible on road trips when you can't stop for forty winks at a rest stop.
