Kind of random.....

1. Which breed is your "heart" breed? Bull Terriers

2. Conformation or Working "show"? Well built dogs who can do their job

3. Small breeds or larger breeds? As we get older, a smaller dog

4. Male or Female? Male. One female in the house is enought!

5. On leash or off leash? Whatever works in specific circumstances

6. Working breeds or "pet" breeds? All my dogs are my pets

7. Long coat or short coat? Had the long coat once. Never again!

8. Fetch or long nap? As we get older. . . . a long nap

9. Family member or beloved pet? My dogs are both

10. Dry kibble or canned food? Raw

1. Which breed is your "heart" breed? Pit Bull! (But I do have a soft spot for all the bully breeds)

2. Conformation or Working "show"? Working (smaller, leaner, leggy pits please!)

3. Small breeds or larger breeds? Medium (a pit is NOT supposed to be 100+ lbs.!!)

4. Male or Female? Female (I'm a sucker for the oppositional personality with the super cute face, lol)

5. On leash or off leash? On - off if the setting is right

6. Working breeds or "pet" breeds? Working

7. Long coat or short coat? Short

8. Fetch or long nap? Fetch

9. Family member or beloved pet? Both - no human kids yet so the for now the pups are my kiddos :)

10. Dry kibble or canned food? Kibble - with a little canned toppers

1. Which breed is your "heart" breed? Pomeranian's, but Tollers are quickly becoming another heart breed :)

2. Conformation or Working "show"? I like the look of working dogs best

3. Small breeds or larger breeds? Both small and Medium

4. Male or Female? Female

5. On leash or off leash? Off with Skyline if its safe, always On with Lilith til she is trained unless its in a fenced off area

1. Which breed is your "heart" breed? Mini Schnauzer.

2. Conformation or Working "show"? My current breed is a *companion* breed, and doesn't really have much to do with working anymore, but I prefer a *real* terrier with a work ethic, and take part in a variety of sports with them. The best is the balance of both - healthy conformation that allows the breed to excel at the job given to it.

3. Small breeds or larger breeds? Both, although all mine are small at the moment.

4. Male or Female? I like both, and prefer to have a combination of both sexes.

5. On leash or off leash? Depends. Both at different times.

6. Working breeds or "pet" breeds? I definitely lean towards working.

7. Long coat or short coat? Short coat.

8. Fetch or long nap? Both - I like a dog that can go hard when necessary, and relax when necessary.

9. Family member or beloved pet? Family member.

10. Dry kibble or canned food? Raw.

Bully breeds - APBT, AmStaff

Conformation

Given that bully breeds tend to not do well with other dogs; definitley on - unless we are in a controlled environment with known dogs - like agility class. However we only have 1 class where there are no barriers at all between the dog running and the other leashed dogs. My girl is not dog aggressive; but she is very reactive driven by fear and insecurity around other dogs. It looks exactly like dog aggression minus the actual attacking and biting. For those walking their dogs off leash; I would hope that they are trained to not approach other dogs without an invitation. I have had some scary experiences out walking my leashed dog in public, with unleashed dogs running right up to her - while I'm clicking and treating and yelling to the other owner "She's not really good with other dogs, please get your dog"!!!!!! If she were truely dog aggressive vs. merely reactive...we could have had some major problems.

6. Working breeds or "pet" breeds?

I have always had dogs as pets. When I got my current dog 4 years ago I started doing formal training, agility & rally obedience; but am not super serious about. Would like to compete and probably will at some point, but I can't see myself driving several hours and hanging around all day at a dog show either.

Kibble with lots of healthy people food for training treats.
