    Monday chat

Oh yeah!!!  Pre-moving day is finally here!!  JUST ONE MORE DAY AND ONE MORE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Of course, I'm not remotely excited.

The car is totally loaded for the first run, the cleaning supplies are in and I'm ready to be off and running.  Will bust my butt today, but, that's a good thing!

     Yaaaay for Glenda!!!

My wonderful SO picked me up some coffee beans that I've been wanting to try. I first tasted the coffee at a local restaurant and it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. I just kept forgetting to go get some, because it's about 10-15 minutes north, but not anywhere that I go for any other reason. He surprised me with a 1 lbs. of whole beans (which is my preference lol). He's so sweet. He started cracking up when I was literally moaning into my cup of coffee on Saturday, because it's just that good. I'm enjoying a few more cups this morning.

I need to start back in on organizing this house. I've kinda slacked off. I have a couple of boxes I want to go through tonight and likely will just get rid of all their contents. It feel very freeing to just get rid of all the stuff that piles up over the years. I feel less stressed when things are clean and tidy, though I let things get out of control because I AM stressed. I'm trying to make cleaning and tidying my cheap form of therapy lol.

Yay Glenda!!!!!  I'm so happy for you!!!!

I am running on near empty this week.  Luckily, I don't think there is much more to do with the wedding, phewf.

This morning I have to go to the adult store to pick up some wedding night lingerie and honeymoon lingerie.  I looked at some lingerie stores, regular ones, but they don't have much.  So I'm going to go the other route lol.

I need to remember to phone the limo company today to tell them where to be when on Saturday. oh man it's almost here

I'm having one of those days where I'm second guessing the major decisions I make in my life.

Thankfully, Rick spoke up and told me he was having second thoughts about rehoming Rocky, the cat.  I didn't hesistate in changing the plan.  It has to be a mutual decision; and Rocky is his cat too.

So, I'm a big believer in Karma.  And, not a big believer in coincidence.  I'm feeling the desire to rehome Rocky brought on the dilemmas I've had over the last several days in kitty rescue.  What's the message?  I don't fully know.

But, now I don't fully trust my decision making.  Of course, my Rick knows how I'm feeling this morning and is trying very hard to convince me that my decision making is just fine; and we do what we do in the best interest of our family.  So, it certainly helps to have his support.

    Still.

Weekend was okay, except I feel like I weigh 400lbs today.  Bleh.

Big shelter fundraiser was yesterday.  I volunteered to help out, told the designated person over 6 weeks ago I was available, but heard nothing.  Planned out my day figuring it was covered.  I get to work this morning and find an email sent at 9:30p on Saturday night telling me what I need to do on Sunday.  Okay, you had 6 weeks, I've repeatedly said I don't have internet at home....frustrating.  I really detest lack of follow-up, esp. when it makes me look like the dummy.

Barb, thoughts are with you as you work out your cat dilemma.

Dawn, continued thoughts for your dad.

Amanda, congrats on the new car!

I'm planning my next trip to see my friend.  He's gotta work two more weekends, so it'll be after that.  It's sort of a drag, but gives us both lots of space and time to assess our feelings.

Glenda, so glad you'll be getting into your house!

ETA: Jackie, I'd be giving Schwan's corporate the what-for.Angry

There's a certain forum member with 2 boys, 7 dogs, a dude named Rowdy, and a brand new Tuscan that needs to know not to open any mail from me that may come to her this week in front of said boys.

To the other person who gets mail from me - your safe.

Drama from the girl in my office who's going through a nasty divorce spilled over into my weekend - making me not a very happy camper.

Bwahahahahaha I can't wait to hear about it!

Sharon, if your SO was smart he'd wear coffee cologne.  :)

Tina, I'm hoping you're feeling like a 400lb woman because you ate too much great food and not just from bloating associated with Aunt Flo.  Stupid shelter fund raiser organizer.  Does anyone read any more?  Speaking of reading, I started that book you recommended, Fragile Beasts.  I'm engrossed and I can see why you enjoyed it.

Glenda, good vibes for your upcoming move.  Napping is an art and if you haven't perfected it at your age, it could be too late.  Sad, very sad.

Julie, are they checking for critters in your blood???  Glad you're home safe and sound.  Who was happier?  Your or the dogs? :)

We had a very soggy weekend.  I did manage to get most of my new plants planted.  I ran out of potting soil so a trip to the nursery is on the agenda this week.

I have spoken to Schwan's customer service.  Several times.  They are aware of my opinion of this delivery guy.  He better be good looking and flirt me up like crazy or I might have to rethink my plan to never prepare food again.  I didn't say "cook" and you all know why.  I found a new source of feathered boas this weekend and stocked up.

Jackie, yep they are checking for mono and malaria, tho the doc doesn't think its malaria. My blood pressure is pretty low, like 104 over 70 and my ear hurts like hell. No doubt the hole in my ear drum came from the flight yesterday. So basically I have been hit by a truck and the truck is still sitting on top of me!

Its hard to say who is happier for me to be home. Neiko met me at the door with a desperate and full body wiggle coupled with whining and grunting and abbie barked non stop for about 30 mins. Lily whined and wiggled like neiko, only faster lol. I am greatful for the little things like cold water (I never drank so much warm water in my life down there!) And flushing tp down the toilet. Tv that's not in spanish and american accents haha! And of course my bed!

Whew!  There for a minute I thought that she was talking about me.  Then I did a dog count & realized that I have 8 dogs!  Stick out tongue

Thanks for the heads up Deb!  :)

I went to Walmart this morning.  Oh the joys of Walmart....

I feel so bad for my little ladybug.  Yesterday she had a rough day.  She had been in a pretty whiny mood since I made her leave the park because she couldn't respect a disabled little girl's space.  She had a walker and I tried to explain to Devin that it wasn't a toy and wasn't OK for her to touch it but she wouldn't stop running to see it and crowding her.  I could tell the little girl was very uncomfortable with her being so close, so I eventually had to take her home because she was getting unruley.  We had been there awhile and were hot and about to leave anyway, but it just set her off and she was so mad all the way home since I didn't give her any warning before we left.

Then a little later, I put her in the laundry basket and let her ride into the kitchen in it.  We do this all the time.  Well, when she was trying to get out, it tipped over and she bit into her top lip pretty good.  It bled like crazy and she screamed bloody murder but we got the bleeding to stop pretty fast and I got her comforted and she stopped crying pretty fast.  She didn't bite all the way through, but has two huge teeth marks in her upper lip, and although I know they heal fast, and I can already see that is happening, it looks so painful and I feel so horrible for her.  I talked to the dentist and they didn't seemed all that concerned since her teeth weren't chipped and she didn't bite through it and said it will heal really fast.  I did discover that I handle blood much better than my husband, and we both already know that he handles throw up better.  lol!

I did take her to this really awesome park here to meet a friend, and it was specifically built with kids her age in mind.  The slides had dips at the ends so that they don't go flying off the ends of them and most were covered.  There was plenty of climbing to be done, but all of the sides were enclosed with bars so I didn't worry about her falling.  It makes it possible for me to take her to the park by myself and still really enjoy everything!  This is going to be our new go to park because it is really pretty close to home, and suprisingly, it wasn't overrun with people either, and it is big enough that even with a lot of people, there is plenty to do!

Glenda, I am so excited that you get to finally start moving some stuff!  Jackie, that Schwam's guy better get there today!  You know there are plenty of places with pre prepared foods to help you out.  Central Market has great choices as I am sure plenty of other places do too.  It seems to be an up and coming thing these days even in some of the regular grocery stores.

    Have a great Monday everyone!

Not good food, homemade chocolate chip cookies, which I was craving due to Aunt Flo.  So we'll blame it all on her.  I hope you like the book.  At first I wasn't sure I did, but a couple of chapters into it and I was hooked.

Julie, I hope you find what's making you ill.  My DS's ex roommate spent time in Ghana during college and has malaria as a result.  Apparently it never really goes away, just lays dormant.  According to DS, the docs here don't have the drugs to treat it adequately.  I don't know how accurate that info is, but here's hoping you don't have malaria.
