    Finally Friday Chatter

Yes, I am actually up at 4am.

I mentioned last night that when Baily was in the care of my Dad yesterday, he got into a bag of biscuit type treats.  I could have eaten about 1 lb of them.  Really don't know.  Total mistake.  Same thing has happened to me.  Dad called to tell me about it and that he would not give Baily dinner.  I get there later to pick up the boy and Dad tells me he DID give Baily dinner.

Baily went straight to bed when we got home.  I let him out to potty at 10:30pm.  At 12:45am he woke me up.  Let him out and he poop immediately.  At 3:43 I woke again but Baily was not in our room.  I went looking for him and he was doing the "Mom ya gotta let me out now cuz I'm gonna puke!" dance in front of the back door.  Let him out, he darted across the patio and started eating grass like his life depended on it

I am sitting on the back steops and he is out in the yard eating grass and puking.

I'm a tad irritated with my Dad at the moment.  Good news is that my partner has the day off and will be home to take care of Baily.

A few of you will start getting up very soon........HAVE A GREAT DAY !!!!!

He just came back in...of his own accord.  It's 4:17.   I hope he feels better.

    NO breakfast for him !

    Hope Bailey is feeling better!

Just waiting to wake up DH and my sister.  We are leaving around 7:00 this morning.  DH keeps asking me if I am nervous.  Nope, but probably a little bit too excited to have a week off of work!

Gall bladder gave it the old college try last night around midnight.  It wasn't a full blown attack, but I think its knows it's outta here!

Good Luck on your surgery Lisa!!!!  I'm sure everything will go smoothly and you'll no longer have that pesky gallbladder bothering you.

I feel off today, for lack of a better way to describe it. I'm not sick, don't think I'm getting sick, got plenty of sleep - but I'm just meh. I really think it has to do with the changing season. It's darkish when I get up now and the sun is setting earlier. I love fall, but I do miss having those long sunny days.

I still haven't heard anything about that application I sent in for a job at the university (admin asst. II position). I sent in for that the first week of this month. I know from past experience it takes forever to hear anything, but at this point I'm assuming I'm not even in the running for an interview and that any day now I'll get that nice letter saying the position was filled. Oh well.  At least I am employed!

    • Gold Top Dog

    Feel better Baily!

Sharon, would it be inappropriate for you to do a follow up call on the application?

Lisa...best to you with the surgery...will be thinking of you.  It will be a piece of cake.

Can't get PushyCat out of my mind.

Busy day for me ahead...meetings most of the day.  Ugh...better get moving on my exercises.  Good Friday to all

Sharon, would it be inappropriate for you to do a follow up call on the application?

Yeah, it would unfortunately. I'm fighting the urge to do so. They specifically state they do not accept calls about the jobs, or about the status of your application. They also don't accept you walking in to inquire either. I'm not surprised. I'm sure they got hundreds of applications for this position.

Glenda, I'm so excited it is so soon you are moving to your house!!

Lisa - vibes to you for your surgery today!

Mindy - I hope Baily is feeling better!

I'm excited to buy the cheery stuff to send to my people.  I'm going to do that today Smile

The wedding stuff is pretty much finished now, I think I just need to get a gift for my mom and dad, and for Derek's parents.  We worked out the DJ thingy last night which was another big thing.  I'm getting nervous though.  Agh I just remembered, we need to find a magic 8 ball lol.  We aren't doing the traditional " I dos" lol  where do i find one of those though?

    • Gold Top Dog

Bye bye Lisa's gall bladder.  Check in when you can, m'kay?

Mindy, I hope Baily feels better after a while.

I actually slept well last night.

Got a card in the mail yesterday.  DS asked me, "it wasn't from some creepy old stalker guy, was it?"  I said no, just from my friend Griswald Stumperdink.  He said he was worried.  At least he didn't open it to check before I got home.

    • Gold Top Dog

Lauren, do you have Spencers there?  They have all sorts of gaggy sorts of stuff, or maybe even one of the big box kids stores.

Four more days, four more nights.  Not that I'm counting the days or anything.

Fixed is not quite the word for the toilet.  It is still leaking fresh water.  Sigh.  DS says he's gonna fix it....I say leave it.  We'll just turn the pump on and off as needed and put a dog towel in front of the can for when the pump is on.  it's only a hassle for a few more days and then when no one is trying to LIVE in here, he can fix it....again.  I know that I'm supposed to be more adaptable than the guys, but, I'm really getting sick of this thing too.

Bye bye gall bladder.  You will not be missed.

    ((((Jackie))))

    Baily, feel better buddy.

Sharon, sorry you are feeling off.  At least I figured out why I've been feeling tired and achey.  Oh yeah, a nice big shingles patch.  Stress I'm sure...the stress of dealing with life in the "tin can", that's actually fiberglass.  But, now that it's popped out....without any of the warning signs first......at least I feel better.  Granted there is an angry, itchy, firey spot that doesn't feel so great, but, heck, that's easy to deal with.  Vitamin C is such a good friend at times like this.......

Did I mention only 4 more days????

Shingles!  Oh no!  I had shingles last year and it was not pretty...sight or feeling.  If you can...get some Cajeput Oil.  I combined a layer of TeaTree Oil with a layer of Cajeput Oil on the blisters twice daily and I'm convinced it help contain and diminish the blisters.  Stress...yep...no doubt.

I thought about your DS and was hoping he didn't open that card!! LOL

My alarm went off for several minutes this morning before my mind could figure out what that noise was. :)  I slept like a rock and am ready for the weekend. :)

Mindy, I hope Baily recovers from his biscuit overload.

    I better start doing payroll.

    • Gold Top Dog

Good luck today, Lisa.  Let us know if we can do anything for you.

I thought about your DS and was hoping he didn't open that card!! LOL

Well, I did yell at him for opening my mail the last time.

Nothing would surprise him, though.  I'm pretty sure he understands that when I go see my friend, there may be some taffy-pulling and/or miscellaneous cooking going on.  Wink

Glenda - Is it only 4 more days now? Smile That's great!! I still think you need to write a book about it all.

I read something about a manual treadmill? If only that came with some sort of ab workout, I could lose my gym membership for good!

Amanda - why are you sleeping on a loveseat vs your bed?

    ((((Jackie))))

Lisa - sorry I missed the goodbye party! I can't wait for the "it's gone!' party! You take care!

Bailey, bud, go easy on the stomach!!

Tina - at least your DS tells you you got mail!! I have to go hunt it down.

I think I'm finally adjusting to working and developing a new routine at home. 10 years out of the workforce is a long time. But on the upside, I do like my job. The dogs seem to be adjusting nicely. It's just those days where they have to wait a bit for a potty break thats frustrating. Maybe more for me then for them. How long should Jackson be allowed to go between breaks??

    • Gold Top Dog

Lisa good luck with the surgery...if it's like my moms (laproscopic??) it'll be no biggy and the recovery from anethesia is about the worst part. PLus no heavy lifting for like a month or two but who WANTS to lift stuff?? LOL.

I am VERY glad to say that my hubs cat scan revealed nothing sinister to account for his sudden weight loss. He insisted that is was merely stress doing a # on his tummy but the doc wanted to be 100%. I am glad he had it done tho is seemed a miserable process. I like proactive docs personally. Now he DID still have a couple of kidney stones in there...small ones...so he's going to have to address that with his doc. Not sure what if anything can be done...

The incredible stress at his job seems to be abating..the auditors come Monday so what could be done, has been and now it's out of their hands and into the auditors and there some weird sense of relief in him. He has been working like a DOG the past few months and I was getting worried. But he's leveled off now and seems adjusted and happier.

Grapefest (wine festival) is this weekend...we're hoping to take the kids and go tomorrow...I love that sort of thing. I'll try to get pics if we do go...

I wish everyone well who needs it!
