• tacran Posted : 6/11/2006 8:07:53 PM Angel, I'm so sorry to hear this devastating news.  When I read your post, I gasped so loudly that my DH asked me what was wrong.  I truly cannot imagine seeing what you saw.  I'd be a total basket case - someone would've had to carry me off.    They were NOT just ducks, and the dollar value of what you lost is irrelevant.  Knowing your ducks suffered terribly at the hands of someone else cannot be given a monetary value.  The tragedy is that another person intentionally did something knowing it would cause great pain to someone.  It makes me wonder about the human race.   But, as you know, our faith in people is restored when we get the support from those around us - whether it's a spouse or an internet friend you've never met.  My heart is breaking for you.  I'll say a prayer for you and your sweet ducklings.  My deepest sympathy - take care. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. It is unbelievable that your neighbors could be so heartless and if the girlfriend let the dog out on purpose then shame on her and people like that will get thiers in the end. • lorib Posted : 6/11/2006 11:54:38 PM We had ducks when I was a kid and they were part of the family.  I cried like a baby when a neighbor's cat got one of the duckings THROUGH a fence. I know how you feel because you didn't "just lose a duck", you lost EIGHTEEN family members. I want to know if the dog is going to be removed from this couple. Wheer I live, it is legal to shoot animals that harm livestock, so you would be within your rights to do that in this case.  I know you probably won't, but I some little part of me would want to do that to this dysfunctional pair. • willowchow Posted : 6/12/2006 1:58:01 AM Angel--I'm so sorry, I'm just seeing this now.  What an unbeliveable story, just when  you think you've heard a story of someone sinking as low as possible, you hear one where they went even lower.  I know your loss is huge and wish there was something I could do.  I was a total mess after seeing a sea gull get hit by a car a few months ago.  Someone had thrown some bread or something into the road for them, they were eating, you'd think the jerks in the car could of stopped or went around them, nope went right threw.  I was SO upset, it really was a trauma and that wasn't my pet, so I can only imagine.  If you want to PM me when you get your computer back please do or e-mail. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
