Yes, tell them you'd prefer not to star in an episode or two of "Hoarders".  LOL

I love that show!  A couple of episodes of that always makes me feel so much  better about my little stack of junk mail on the kitchen counter or the newspapers that haven't been taken out to the recycle can yet. Big Smile  The Comcast home page had an article a couple of days ago about a woman who went missing and about a month later her husband spotted her feet sticking out from under a pile of garbage inside the house that reached almost  from floor to ceiling.  The house was so full of garbage and old rotten food that even the dogs hadn't been able to find her.

So the day is over and I'm pretty mentally drained. I had an all day meeting, which is taxing enough then add on that I run this particular committee and we haven't met since march and one of the members was frustrated with the feedback he got on something he created...I had to pull out all the let's stay calm skillz I have in me and it was exhausting.

Maybe I should do some laundry

Got my fourth and final birthday dinner tonight.

I'm sorta sad about being right about something. A kid I work with, they put her into a session of regular kindergarten. I thought it would be a disaster. I said months ago it would be a disaster, and they decided they no longer wanted to hear my input. I said on Thursday, to someone from the school who I have known for a few years (don't see often, but we worked together on a case for a bit, and I have a lot of respect for this guy). He asked me if I thought this would work. I answered him honestly and said there wasn't a chance. Lo and behold, two days in, it's not going so well. Her mom fought so hard to get this, and she seemed sort of sad when reading and writing back to one of her teachers about how the day went. I usually love being right, but I don't love being right when it means that things are going terribly for a kid.

Benny is continuing to improve (I just realized I updated facebook, but not here....). His blood work came back to show toxins in the blood, Dr thinks it was a toad. BAD doggy! We also found his thyroid levels to be off.... which I had suspected for a short while now, just never tested. He's hypo... we started meds tonight. Hopefully this will be the answers to the extreme shedding and hair thinning we've been experiencing...

I'm going to lunch with my sister/best friend tomorrow. Really looking forward to it! (And to not working! hooray for now having two days off!)

     lay off the toads Benny.

I just realized earlier, I could get the whole day off on Sunday. Whoo Hoo! Labor Day party!

Julie, I understand the CYA aspect but come one, the bottom line is that they need help to find this guy. Just make the call!!! I'd be tempted to call a local news station in hopes of convincing them to do a story on the SAR group. During the interview, it could be pointed out that your group works with local authorities, but that the state authorities refuse to work with you. It's not a blatant slap in the state's face, but it's definitely a nudge.

So glad to hear that Bri was ok after the fall!

Grab, how long has Goose had the UTI? Cher had puppy vaginitis, & it seemed like she kept a UTI until she went through heat.

I'm glad that Benny is improving!

I hate my physical therapist. She's happy & cheerful, & peppy, & she annoys me to no end. I don't know how anyone can be cheerleader happy all the time. It makes me want to puke. And drink. She will be the biggest reason that I bust my butt to rehab my shoulder as quickly as possible.

I had a crappy day & was in a pissy mood when I got home. I was trying, very hard, to keep my foul mood to myself, but when I walked in to find Cher running loose in the house, I opted to let everyone know that I was pissed. DH decided that it would be a good idea to announce that my bad mood was "pms related" which only pissed me off further, & solidified the fact that he's sleeping on the couch tonight.

And you said ..."Dang, Darlin ... I **am** at about that time -- no WONDER I feel like helping your nose meet your toes ... It COULD get worse and here I've been trying so HARD to be pleasant -- if THAT's the case I'm not gonna BOTHER!!!"

Altho Amanda -- Heaven knows you don't REALLY need my help ... but if you do, I'm only an e-mail away!!  *grin* I would LOVE to be supportive!!

She's had it for a few weeks (just finishing a course of antibiotics). I"m hoping the culture will show what antibiotic will work best. Hopefully she doesn't end up with an infection for another 5 months..that wouldn't be pleasant for anyone. Her vaginitis is still there, but seems a little less..icky. But then I've been keeping the area wiped, etc.

Yeah :( The guy has not been found yet to my knowledge. There isn't a lot of news coverage due to the location (way up north in a rural area. The news reporter actually held up a map in front of the camera to point out the location lol. first time I have seen that). Anyway, we have called twice to offer our dogs but no go...
