Zoe Bug's Bicycle saftey harness/vest combo

Since I've been taking zoey out for bicycle 'walks' lol I wanted to make her something that will keep her safe, i.e. easily seen. they make all kinds of little visibility vests, but I wanted to make it function as a harness too. She was using amber's harness, which I don't really care for anymore - I don't like the webbing I made it out of. So I rooted through my stash of materials and came up with a neon green vest/harness ( waterproof), complete with nylon webbing and metal buckles - I hate plastic ones.

I really took my time on this one, I think I started it thurs afternoon & just finished it last night.  I think it fits her great! ( and good thing I kept trying it on over & over during certain steps of sewing!) it has velcro & buckles to keep it on. Its also fully lined on the inside. I'll take some pics of it not on her soon.

    Check it out!!

I want zoey to learn to ride ON the bike too, she's been in the bicycle trailer in a crate before but never ON the bike.

cuz someday when we actually 'ride' someplace, she obviously can't run/trot the WHOLE way, so i either need to trailer her or have her ride with me.

so here she is, first time in the 'tub' lol

.She soon found that she likes to lay on the snapdeck! which is awesome for me cuz it makes the weight more balanced. riding with 27lbs of dog 'balanced' is NO problem!! she's a natural! Of course she got the living crap treated outta her lol, so she probably was thinking 'hmmm not a bad place to be!' I just had to reach right behind me to give her a goodie, it was very convenient!

    hey! dis aint soo bad!

    Looking a little relaxed!!

.Here's a pic so you can see how the tub is attatched, I have a wideloader on the xtracycle, then two tie down straps that keep it on. the one that crosses over the tub is the one she is tethered to. I have some mods I want to make to it in future so her snap can't slide back & forth on the strap.

for her first ride, i went pretty slow, I think the fastest I went is 8mph.

YOu cannot believe how insanely happy I am that she took to riding on it so well!! She wasn't entirely thrilled when I had her on the bicycle trailer a couple months back!!

and the fact that she was balancing made it even more cool. Especially cuz i took amber for a ride the other evening LOL and she just sits in the tub. thats 30lbs trying to pull your bike over to one side!! LMAO

I've also experienced issues with axle shafts on my RC crawler. Upgrading to higher-quality tools, like the THS Racing Ratchet and Wiha hex drivers, made a significant difference for me. Additionally, using blue Loctite on the pinion set screws helped keep everything secure. It's frustrating when parts fail during a crawl, but these adjustments improved my rig's reliability.

When it comes to biking, I’ve always been a fan of high-quality gear that stands the test of time. Whether it’s a reliable bike pump or accessories, it really makes a difference on long rides. I was recently looking into options and came across customer service. They seem to have a solid reputation for providing excellent products and support, which is crucial when you’re relying on your equipment. If anyone’s had experience with their products or customer service, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Oh, and for those who need quick support, they even have the silca phone number www.pissedconsumer.com/.../customer-service.html listed, which makes reaching out super convenient.
