Baby is kicking my butt

I've had zero morning sickness, but if I had, I'd have had no issue with taking meds. No sense, to me, being miserable for months when they have things to help

Not only that, but there is a fine line between getting enough nutrients and not getting enough, and when you're under the bar, the baby could suffer. You need to weight the options. Having a drug free pregnancy vs having an undernourished infant. I really think Kelci is so tiny because I had such a hard time eating when I was pregnant with her. She never had that round solid feel that Kali had when she was born. She looked more like a preemie, though she wasn't.

I hear ya and that's why I am concerned.  I have an OB appointment today so I'll discuss it with her and see what she says.  So far any weight gain has been pretty hard to detect but at least I'm not losing anymore.

Last night was actually a pretty good night.  I ate a little, took Joey for a short walk, vacuumed the living room and felt like a champ.  This morning was easier than most mornings have been.  So while I am hardly counting my chickens, maybe I will turn this corner yet.

Wait 'til delivery - that's the big party.  Can you imagine a bowling ball lit on fire?

Nice.  I've always heard the watermelon through a pea description, which certainly isn't better.

So the visit was pretty standard.  My glucose test (yeah, she wanted me to take an early one) was fine, baby's heartrate is good, and everything looked okay with lab work except for my iron count, which I'm already taking suppliments for.

She asked how I'm feeling, I told her about the constant nausea, and she said she could get me something for that.  Initially she was going to prescribe some Z named something or other like phenagren but when I told her I'm not taking my prenatals because they weren't helping the nausea, she said there are special prenatals that help with that.  Naturally they're prescription but I got a sample pack to see how they work for me first.  If I don't like them, I'll just call back and see if I can get the Z stuff and take my iron, and the Flintsones Gina suggested.  But here's hoping the nastiness will subside in another week or so and I won't need it.

P.S. My due date is Valentine's, isn't that sweet!

Sure, Gina, make sure the kid is destined to become and adult entertainer.  LOL

Gina, that's just wrong.  But you live for the wrong so I understand your need to share Wink

Tina, have no fear, I wouldn't doom my child to that kind of misery.  I am already picking names - because I can and because I want to.  Calling baby, baby for long is going to get annoying to me.  But looking through all the options, it's positively disheartening what our American society comes up with.  There are scads of bad names but the one that sticks out is Brilliant.  Dude, talk about pressure.

    • Gold Top Dog

sensible naming is a lost art IMO. LOL.

I see kids in my kiddos class at school that either all have the SAME name (cameron, madison, caden, aidan, hailey and mackenzie all interchangeable with boys/girls)...or such horrible spellings of names that the teacher has trouble, the classmates have trouble, and the kid will forever and I do mean FOREVER be correcting people on how to say it, let alone SPELL it. lmao! That's probably fun when you go thru your teenage years and already have self esteem, who amI, what do I want to be, issues!

But seriously, personal preferences aside...if a name has meaning and to you, it will have meaning to the child, and if the name has meaning to the child it will have meaning to the world...that's my spiel!

       Valentines day!!!  Awesome!!!

Exactly Gina.  One of the very first things I told Cody when we found out is "if this is a girl, there is absolutely, positively, withoutadoubt, NO WAY you could talk me into naming her Bella or any form of Bella."  No offense to those who have chosen it but good lord there are going to be a zillion Bellas in my kiddo's generation.  Barf-o-rama.

We're both a classics kind of people.  Baby girl will be Georgia and there was never really any question in my mind about that one.  (Cody's reaction?  "But what about that kid's rhyme about Georgie Pordgie?"  Kids can make fun of ANY name.)  And last night I finally found a boy's name we can all live with - Rex.  Okay, maybe it's not really classic but I like the sound of it, my mush mouth can actually say it and be understood and it's simple.  Boy names are hard!
