Munchkin is a great name, Jackie!
Hope Glenda and fam are traveling safely.
All you wise ones... I need some wisdom. They took out my wisdom teeth so I'm lacking LOL. I will graduate with my Master's in Dec. My "real" boss promised me, at my review last month, a bump up in level at that point. This particular bump up, would equal a 20% increase in pay. The evil admin woman tells me she won't start any paperwork until I have the degree in hand, and "who knows what the finances will be like." I would stay here with the appropriate compensation, but if not, would definitely seek other employment opportunities. I say "real" boss because we work closely with his mentor, and the mentor has been known to be a PITA at times, and very cheap. I'm sure he would want the moon before I would get an increase if left to him.
Now, normally, this would be all fine and dandy whichever way it works out. However, DH and I really want to start trying for kids soon. The ony reason we've waited this long, is for me to graduate. I know at least 6 women, not including those on this forum, who are pregnant and it's becoming contagious, LOL. So any advice on how to balance the work issues with trying for kids? I don't want to be interviewing and pregnant, but neither do I prefer to wait a while I get settled at a new job. I would prefer to stay here, with the increase in pay, but won't accept staying here without something in return for the master's, because I feel like it would be that much harder to get a higher-paying job later if I "settle" for this one even with a master's.
OK, now I need to break out the Oreo's and homemade chocolate chip banana bread.
