What the heck happened to respect and dignity?

Some of the ladies I work with and I went to a Tim McGraw concert last night. It was an awesome concert.... Love and Theft, Danny Goakley and Tim all performed great shows! I must say Tim McGraw is a fine looking man... Faith Hill is a lucky woman. ;)

But I kind of feel ripped off... not by any of the perfomers... but by the lack of dignity, respect and morals of a group of people sitting next to us. It was an outdoor concert, we had lawn seats, so you could sit pretty much anywhere you wanted on blankets, or beach chairs or the ground. There was a group of young women who decided to sit next to us to begin with... four of them. Wearing short dresses and boots and looking like I wouldn't allow my daughter to leave the house looking..... I'm guessing maybe 21 as they all had a beer, but you know, who really knows... they sure didn't look 21.

Well, sometime into Danny Goakley's performance, this group of guys walked by... about the same age I'm guessing as the girls... made some comments as they went by, the girls giggled and the guys kept walking.... well, a little while later the guys came back. They introduced themselves, Tim started his show.... and the next thing I know, one of the guys had his "thing" OUT of his pants and was rubbing it on one of the girls and she grabbed it!! What the heck!! It was disgusting.. and then another guy and girl joined in! They continued to do some pretty outrageous, very inappropriate things until finally someone behind them said something.... of course then the one guy wanted to pick a fight and then they'd calm down... and then it's start all over agian. It carried on for close to an hour.... it was disgusting. Finally security came and asked them to leave. The guys left, the girls stayed.

It was horrible... and as if their inappropriate actions weren't bad enough, they were loud as well. One of the guys yelled out "Keep it up Tim, you're gonna get me laid!" They totally ruined the show for me. I am so disappointed.

So, I've declared the next time I go, I'm buying actual seat tickets, closer to stage..... maybe that way I'll be able to concentrate and enjoy the show.

I felt like saying to them, "Now, how would your Momma feel if she knew you were in public carrying on like this.. and with a stranger none the less!"

Wow. In those situations I usually stick with: wow I bet your mum is so proud of you... :-/

From what I've seen lately, young women have absolutely no respect for themselves anymore and of course the men!

I wished I could have been there for you. If the guy exposing himself wanted to pick a fight, he wouldn't have to wait long. It would be on. And then, I would show him something he's never seen before. The other end of it. At the very least, he would be walking or crawling out of there doubled over.

The problem is, he's never had his butt whooped properly. And it needs a severe whooping. Or, he needs to go to jail or prison. I promise you, he could try that move in the joint and get a far different reaction than what he got from the clueless young ladies.

I probably would have said it and then I would have moved my lawn chairs or blanket far away. No reason to put up with that sort of thing and let it ruin your experience.

Good grief....what the hec is wrong with those people. Ewwwwww. They should have been thrown out!

I agree....next time get seats....so you can enjoy the show.

Wasn't it a Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert where someone grabbed his family jewels and Faith got very upset? Something about the demographics, and today's 20-somethings. I hate to see the current 12 yr olds in 10 years - it's getting worse and worse. And I would not be surprised that Tiffy is right. ugh.

I would have reported it to security, rather than suffering through it.

Sadly, I would have gotten myself into trouble because I would have likely laughed and said something like "dang, I sure wouldn't show off something THAT small".

But, agreed, that never should have happened and yeah, values and morals seem to have gone the way of the dinosaurs.

Oh my goodness I'm sorry you had to go through that and that those creeps ruined the concert for you! I'm glad security booted them out eventually. I however would have went to get security the second the guy wiped out his 'thing'. Thats beyond disgusting and those girls should be ashamed of themselves. I have no patience for people like that at all and they're lucky no one like my mom was around or the guys would have got a butt kicking from her lol. And, I know no one intended to stereotype us in our 20's, but I am only 23yrs old and I would never in a million gagillion bazillion years act like that. Just a few bad apples making the rest of us in our 20's look bad Smile

Tiffy is right; they were NOT clueless, they knew exactly what they were doing....I had friends like them. The 20-somethings are my age group (I'm 24)....Currently, I hang out with a small group of girlfriends that I like and am comfortable with. I used to hang out with a lot of girlfriends, lots from high school and college, but they were too "wild" for my taste (hooking up with random guys at bars, fighting with other girls for really no reason, wearing short tight skirts w/ no panties, etc). Personally, I would rather be at home with my dogs and husband than out at a bar getting in trouble, or, even being seen with those trashy girls. It is definitely getting worse and worse; I have a 12 year old brother and girls call my parents house all. the. time. looking for him. Urgh. Thankfully, he has no intrest in girls......yet.

I'm back from vacation. I know you missed my input...LMBO! I am sorry that your experience got ruined by some idiots...male and female. Both sides needed to be thrown out IMO...

If it makes anyone here feel better my two kiddos are not being raised to behave in this manner, nor would I tolerate it...as far as when they leave my home as adults? We all have to depend and hope that we've done enough.

I have never done anything like that but I sure have embarrassed myself AND my momma as a 20something so I won't throw too many stones....I turned out alright, many do...but it sucks that we ALL have to be there when someone, male or female decides to sow their stupid oats out in public. *shudders*

I probably would have been making a camera video for the cops...lol...

Unfortunately I *always* say something .... and my first comment would likely have been "Oh .... maaaaaaaaaaaaaa GAW-------------**HE'S GOT A MINI!!!!! Is he OLD enough for a prescription of Viagra??"

Then my husband wound have said "Please ... have a LITTLE decorum .... but "little" seems to be the word of the night!"

Neither of us have patience with someone else who wants to be the star of the show. I tend to be pretty vocal -- and usually THEY move on just to get away from the old broad in the wheelchair.

Unfortuantely -- in THIS day and age, it's very likely their mothers were sitting in another part of the park -- or likely just out of range on their backs! And "mommy" was with her flavor-of-the-week main squeeze .... most of those girls probably grew up with a whole slew of 'uncles' and/or "friends" in the house.

People like that think they have to get "loaded" to HAVE fun but then they never remember in the morning what they did. Sad ...

Our kid will be raised to behave properly as well. They'll also likely have enough of a sense of humor to laugh at that kind of situation as well.

My husband is a high school teacher...we have an entire book of things our child is banned from doing.
