Telling Charles may be a non-issue.  She simply stays.  But, just in case:

Dear Charles,  Junkie is yours now.  Just look at that little face, she lubs you.  She has claimed you as hers now.  You have your very own junk yard dog.  Treasure her as she treasures you.  Sincerely, Barb and all of your iDog friends.

    Big Smile

Jackie, she's adorable!!!  I can see why you have fallen in love with her!

How do the other dogs feel about her?

Oh, Tina.  I would love it if she could have you for a dog mom. :)   I could fly her up there.  Under my seat on the plane. lol

I talked to a friend of mine who works at a vet clinic this morning and sent her some pictures of Junkie.  She's going to contact one of their clients who is looking for a pup.  This client lost her little Yorkie a few months ago and is ready for another dog.  If I can find the right home for her, that would be great.  I was trying to find a no kill shelter to take her but didn't want her in that environment with the skin issues.  The shelters here are always full and it's a matter of calling on the right day when they can take in a dog.  I know she would probably get adopted soon, she's so cute but I am having a hard time with the thought of her in a shelter. :(   Have no fear, if I place her myself, it will be to someone who will spay her and give her a loving home.   She sure deserves a good life after the crummy start she had.

They haven't been able to interact because she has ringworm and I'm trying to avoid them getting it.  Lots of hand washing going on here.  She's actually at the vet clinic now getting her second dip treatment.

She desperately wants to play with the big dogs and they are all very curious and wondering why they can't play with the little squeaky toy. LOL

Look, she's spoon size!  I would gladly solve your "problem" by just eating her up!

Oh, I didn't realize that she had ringworm.  Poor baby.

Hypothetically, if she were to stay with you, would her name be Junkie, or do you have something else in mind?  Smile

We don't know yet if it's ringworm.  The test results won't be back for a few more days.  We're treating preventatively.  She had many ant bites and scrapes and little boo boos when I found her.  The skin scraping showed no demodex or sarcoptic mange.

I don't usually name dogs unless I'm sure I'm keeping them.  My plan is to find her a home.  She will bring a lot of fun and joy into someone's life.  She's already wormed her way through my puppy armor. lol  But ultimately the ideal situation is to find her a home.

Jackie, you might want to re-think naming her Junkie.  It is almost too close to Jackie. Wouldn't want to confuse your DH. Stick out tongue

A good synonym for junk is scrap.  I vote for Scrappy !!!

She's certainly proved to be Scrappy!  :)   I agree that Junkie and Jackie are a bit too similar and no point in confusing Charles more than necessary. Stick out tongue  But lets not name her just yet. Wink

The clinic I worked for used a black light for immediate results of ringworm,,,did your vet do that?

You know...she looks exactly like the dog the kid next door picked up at a shelter a couple of months ago....her name is Roxy..she was 9 months old then and spayed....but had been in 2 homes already. Brian said "third time is a charm!"  I was worried because he is a young fellow of about 20 something.... and works a couple of jobs and is there by himself until he just moved his brother in.  Of course no one knows why she was turned in to a shelter twice...but she is very sweet  and just rolls on her back when you pet her. BUT yesterday she got so excited when I pet her that she started running and running ( she was tied outside for a while ) and almost killed herself.  Brian takes her to the dog park as much a few times a week....I bet to exercise her and get rid of some of her energy.

I hope you  keep Junkie....or are able to find a home for her yourself.  Its sad that so many dogs are in shelters just too many cute ones to pick from.
