Doberman lost/stolen 7.16.10 in Austin, TX

Hi folks-

Cross-posting far and wide has been requested for this 9month old dog. He was lost or stolen from his fenced backyard yesterday 7/16/10 at about 4pm in Austin, TX. I know Amanda is out that way, but she's on vacation, so I'm posting for EVERYONE.... please cross post. He has a Facebook page set up (see info below his pic)

Apparently, this dog has been dead for about a month but the co-owner didn't want to own up to his death. Sad situation for his breeder....

From Facebook:

We cannot tell you how much we appreciate everyone's help and prayers through this. As of a few hours ago we received an anonymous tip via the internet that Demon was killed a month ago by another dog at the property he was at. Thru ip tracing on this tip we can confirm this tip was in fact placed by someone within a one block radius of the property in question. Most likely a computer in the home itself, but at least by someone who knows the person who had possession of him enough to name the other dog on the property.

Demon is actually owne by DeDe Bruno of Do'Urden Kennel, out of Florida, and he was in the process of a co-ownership agreement with a person in Austin, TX who actually was going to be returning him the very day he supposedly went missing. The matter and all of the evidence are going to be investigated and handed over to the proper authorities, and as we find out more details about the truth of the situation we will update everyone as we go. Thank you again to everyone for your thoughts and prayers, and if this is in fact the case, our thoughts go to Demon and DeDe in this horrible and sad time. May Demon run free over the bridge, happy, content and knowledgeable about the fact he was loved and will be missed.

Sickening. I think the fact this spread across the country so fast may be part of how the truth was revealed, so I'll take that nugget of "good" in this awful situation. I feel so badly for the breeder.

Yeah, the stories coming out of Austin keep changing. I just wish the breeder could get a straight answer. It's waaay waaaay too strange that the co-owner who had possession of this dog when it went missing (or worse?) has not responded with any email or call to the other co-owner/breeder. I won't speculate beyond what has been stated as facts... and even the story above is just a "tip". What a mess.

I just came across this very old thread today.. And figured an update was in order...

Demon, from Do Urden kennels, who disappeared back in July of 2010, has been found, happy and healthy and living in a good home.
