Mid week chat

From yesterday....Amanda, not yet. But it's still "sometime this week". He DID get an encouraging email back from the owner on Monday. And a good phone interview with a guy in CA on Monday as well.

It is 7AM and already 80 degrees. Another sauna day I'm guessing! Oh, yipee. It was so hot yesterday that despite having full use of the house while our friends are gone....and being encouraged to use the whole house, I opted for my COLD shower. When it feels like 110 degrees a cold shower feels pretty danged good! Todd went swimming, but, the temp of the above ground pool is almost bath water......too warm to feel very refreshing in my book.

I would like to make a pet food run today.....so hoping that at least some of our funds have been released. It's VERY frustrating having that much money sitting in the bank and not being able to get the stuff I need to get NOW!

Hope that everyone has a really great day. Todd tells me today is going to be good for us, so who I am to question??

Wow guys!! You are in the NORTH! That's gotta be miserable there!

Theo learned a new "trick" yesterday. All of my guys are terrible about stealing paper products. Tissues, paper towels, anything soft and paperery, new or used. yesterday I got up from the table to grab something out of the cupboard, not FIVE feet away and I heard a tinkling. Theo had stolen the paper towel I keep folded under my glass during the day (sweats a LOT here). And yeah, my glass of tea was full and ON the PT when he stole it. I so loved cleaning up THAT mess. Rotten dog!

Oh you have NO idea, Glenda. Mr. W has back problems and doesn't like the AC to be too cold - while I, on the other hand, feel very comfortable when the house is roughly the same temperature as a meat locker. Makes for some very fun nights, I tell ya !!!

Today, a friend of mine is calling a friend of his and putting us both on the list for an upcoming litter. I'm excited and nervous and overwhelmed at the same time!

It's going to be a hot one here too today. 90s with high humidity, no AC.

Yep 90s with high humidity. I thought I lived in MI, not FL.

I really need to do my expenses again. They changed the way we have to do them though and its such a pita. Especially when you travel as much as I do.

I think that I'm going to skip sar tonight. Not only is it crazy hot but because I could use the rest so my sinuses will get better.

Havent had a chance to check on everyone this week and cant go back right now sooooo hope all is well, hugs to those that need it, good vibe to the job hunters!

ETA: Going to be 92 today with a heat index of 99 in NW Arkansas. My MIL called last night said there was a heat index in Tulsa yesterday of 110 supposed to be worse today. Keep cool my friends.

Lies, congrats on the potential puppy. Was any decision made about Kenya?

It's so weird in this office - the women all walk around barefoot. They'll put their shoes on, but they walk around like it's their living room.

The worker finally came back. *sigh* He came a few days ago, dropped off the wood for my fence and deck then left!!! I was not amused.... But he's here now so I can't bitch to much....

Ewwww..maybe your office and flooring is really nice but I'd never do that here.

DH has been grumpy again this week and I'm sure it's because his back is hurting pretty bad but I don't do moody very well. Super Angry

I thought I was getting caught up on my work and feeling pretty good yesterday and then I checked the mail and had a whole new pile of work to add to my stack. I'm taking the next 2 Fridays off and looking forward to it but it does give me less time to get stuff done.

Jackie - how's the houseguest situation going? :)

I've been busy, busy with work and inlaws and the found puppy I picked up yesterday morning. Hoping to find a shelter that can take her soon. No luck so far. I'm taking her to the vet this afternoon. Rex and Belle have never seen a puppy this small. She weighs a whopping 2 1/2 pounds. lol

Thanks. I just made a "firm" commitment, yikes!

Kenya stays. She is now doing tracking with me almost daily, something entirely genetic for her (does not involve any confrontation or feeling like she's not pleasing me or doing something "wrong";) so we will see if this can boost her confidence.

Lies: Tracking did wonders for Maze's confidence. More so then agility. We've been training on and off for about 6 months in tracking and I swear I have a different dog when the tracking harness goes on. Oh! And damn you for your puppy!!! Lol!! I so hate waiting.

ETA: I hate waiting for the coffee pot!!!
