your favorite toys

Not meaning to sound like a commercial, but CleanRun always has interesting toys.  The malinois loves toys, loves to tug, so you may want to get a tug toy.  The basenjis aren't as toy motivated, but really like the real rabbit skin and the rabbit jackpot toy found under motivational toys.

OH!  Get an orbie ball.  Way cool and smells like mint.  I think they even make some glow in the dark ones.

Another vote for the "hide-a-squirrel". Joey LOVES the squirrels, I think he uses them as some sort of "pacifier". He will just lay there and softly squeak it until he falls asleep [:)]
Also any kind of bouncy ball is a big winner! We just recently found a bird. It's a red stuffed bird, only it's not stuffed but has a tennis ball inside and a little bell. He loves it because it's a stuffy and it bounces and makes noise [:D]! (I think it was an AKC toy)

    Marley's favorite...without a doubt--his KONG! [:)]

Um, Sofia once stole all the little rabbit-skin covered mousie toys from Kittymaomao. All we ever found were the plastic carcasses rather chewed. The rabbit skin was nowhere to be found. Burp.[8|]

I would really like to find Sara a toy of some sort that you throw in the water. So it must float. What should I get and can you buy them anywhere?

Both my dogs like the hide-a-squirrel, and the birds. For some reason the bees didn't go over as well. Max occassionally likes his medium sized cuz ball. He never played with the large cuz from our Secret Santa buddy, until the other day when I pulled it out of his toy box to send with a friend for the new dog she is getting (I figured it was better off with her, possibly getting played with, rather than here, in the toy box, being ignored). After taking it out of the box and setting it aside with the stuff to give my friend, Max picked it up, and it's a new favorite. Any tug ropes go over well, and he used to like his Jolly Ball, until he pulled the rope out of the middle. Max is 60lbs, not fat, since I can feel his ribs, and see them just slightly when he stretches, but I guess he's a heavier build, because the dog we had before him and Millie was 60lbs, but a few inches taller and longer than him.

the giggle tugs from dog.com are a big hit, but not very sturdy. Ditto the hide-a-squirrel, my stump has been shredded and all the squirrels de-squeaked. My dogs love any of the Orbee toys, and I love them too because they are INDESTRUCTIBLE. The bunny skin tugs and the sheepy octopus from cleanrun are a big hit. For the frisbee dog, soft bite frisbees. Actually, what really made the dogs go totally nuts was this big floppy monkey from Petsmart. Long limbs and tail, and had a voice box that made hideous monkey noises. Never seen all of the dogs go totally bonkers for the same toy before. Didn't last long enough to justifiy the regular price. Next time they go on the clearance rack, though...

I was in Michael's craft store the other day and they had rubber duckies with a squeaker in them for $1! I bought one for Sofia, figuring next time we went to a pond I could throw it in there for her to get. (She's not big on swimming.)

Hmmm favorite toys?  Anything that squeaks, is soft, has white guts that I can pull out and strew about the floor.  I don't like rubber chews or kong type toys.  I like the food inside of them though.  I love those tennis balls that squeak when you chew on them.  Especially the really big ones, they make the most annoying sound.  Oh and the good cuz squeaky thing, because it's sooooo loud.  My human doesn't like that one too much because I usually find it right at bedtime.

Sequoyah lis my toy driven dog & she loves the soft frisbees.  She also likes the balls that have "tails" on them - I think I got that one on Clean Run.  She loves tugs (I waited until after I taught her some manners LOL).
But, her favorite toy when she was little?  Empty 2-liter soda bottles.

Bear LOVES to chew, so I don't give him stuffies anymore, I'm afraid he might take it to mean he can chew my pillows, cause he use to do that.  Right now, his favourite toys are anything that bounces and squeaks, he's pretty easy to please.  [:)]  Enjoy your doggie play!

Pippin's favorite toy was a stuffed snake that was about 2 feet long. She adored that snake and now it is dead. She commited stufficide but she did have it longer than most of ehr other stuffies. She does like to chew off the tag then the noses and ears and finally she makes a tiny hole and unstuffs them.
I want to find her another snake. But can't locate anything but this huge 5 foot version that is way to much for my little dog.

Louise has a stuffed animal lamb that she loves.   It makes "baah" sounds instead of a regular squeak.  She also likes the floaty Kong throw toys and a big turtle from Pet Stages that has a squeaker and whose feet make crunchy sounds.
