Mindless Monday - Deb W.

    Run free, old girl.

I'm really ticked at myself and probably should use the 2x4 on my head. I somehow missed making my online credit card payment that was due last week. I get email alerts and do it all online, so I'm not sure how I missed it. I was going to blame in on the credit card co. but found the email alert the sent me. I hate paying late fees, espcially when there's no reason for it other than being a dunder head.

Bummer! I have a little notice scheduled to pop up on my computer every week reminding me to put some $ in savings and check my credit card statement online. I try to put a bit in each every week or so. For me, it's a lot easier than paying a lump sum every month, and reminds me to save! I really try to not charge much on my credit card, but it is needed.

Am at least gonna breeze thru and yell "hi ya" at everbuddy.

Jackie -- man, I GET IT -- "had to come to work to rest."  At least I can walk away at night from work and I can't from housework! LOL

Tina, am SO glad the storms passed by you and Julie at least COULD take shelter (cos I missed it elsewhere).

Glenda -- next time you see that gorilla in your living room tell him to organize himself or you'll put HIM to work!! (hey at least it's a nice THOT!) -- next time you go to get groceries, get a bottle of that "green alcohol" in the pharmacy -- it's got a bit of wintergreen oil in it -- rubbing sore muscles with that will help deep AND it will cool you off!!

Sharon, you GO girl -- that's an awesome milestone (less than SO) and a big one mentally.

This is likely to be another week of extra hours so will wave as I can.  I'm not complaining I *have* a job and the boss's wife is being a real gem about trying to be helpful.

Well... I think my wrist is sprained. Not broke, I can move it - but it's still very sore and swollen.....bleh.

We meet up with aussie boy Harley for a walk last night - I've missed my snuggle muffin! He's such a good boy, really loves his new family!!

I went to the mall today... Yankee Candle was having a huge sale! $12 for the BIG candles! I was SO excited!!

Cathy, if you have a good payment history with the credit card company, they may waive it for you if you call and admit to your mistake.  I don't know since all of the rules have changed recently, but it is worth a try...and I would also make sure they didn't raise your interest rate or do anything else you aren't suspecting!

I feel horrible today.  I forgot to take my Zyrtec this morning and I started feeling really sick and then having a coughing fit within an hour of getting into work.  I took some an hour ago and it is all starting to pass but man it ruined my morning and now I still feel sort of queasy from the headache I ended up with.  The mold is really high right now so that's got to be it.

We had a nice weekend and Devin did so well at the Little Gym on Saturday.  She is coming out of her shell more and more now when we go there.  She LOVES the balance beam and willingly did all of the focus activities without pulling her normal limp body routine when one of the teachers pays any attention to her.

My stepdaughter gets in tomorrow night and I am so excited for her to get here for the rest of the Summer!

Good thoughts for those who need them...everyone have a great Monday!

The much awaited trip to Dave & Busters never happened because one of the boys (thank doG) found out there was a dress code and we knew DGS was not going to be able to get in looking like he usually does.  The code is only *no pants with a lot of holes or patches* but since he cuts up his pants as soon as he gets them and re-stitches them back up with dental floss (don't ask cuz I don't know why) we wouldn't have gotten in.  Glad to find that out before we packed the car full of people and drove all that way in the heat. We did a Togo's run instead and picked up a cheesecake at Safeway.

I finally bit the bullet and went sofa shopping yesterday, dragging DS #1 with me because I wasn't sure where this place was.  What actually drew me to that place was the radio ad saying they'd haul the old one away. Smile I would have preferred a slightly darker color, more brownish, but wound up getting one that's close to the same color Max is. It's pretty pathetic when you start matching major furniture purchases to the dog instead of the carpet or other furniture, but he does spend more time on the sofa than anyone else. Microfiber ... supposedly dog friendly and easy to keep clean.  We'll see.

Now I need to force myself back into the car (it's already close to 90) and go get Max another bag of dog food so I won't have to take him to IHOP for breakfast tomorrow.

Callie, my gorilla is gone.  I am totally finished with the sorting!  Yippppppeeeeeee!

And yes, Sharon, congrats on the weight loss!!  That's wonderful.

Tina, still, regardless of the issues with your father, I applaud your willingness to go the extra mile for the ex.  I would have a very difficult time not breaking into gleeful laughter and a happy dance on my ex's corpse!

As we speak, DH is doing a phone interview for a job......fingers crossed please.  They've been chatting for 35 minutes now!

Thanks, I may give them a call. I pay my card off every month, so the % rate isn't a big concern. I use my card for everything because I earn miles with it. I have a lot of things like my gym membership, cable, etc., automatically charged to my card. It makes it easy to just pay the card every month, plus earn the miles, vs. paying a lot of individual bills. I just changed the settings so that it'll automatically pay the credit card bill instead of just alerting me too. Pretty soon I won't have to do anything but spend money like a crazy fool Wink

Glenda - I've my fingers and toes crossed for a good interview for your DH.

     He has a job.

I'm done  tired of  being treated like a idiot and he threaten to stab me.

I'm done I'm going to have to figure out where I'm going to come the end of the month. If I go back home the question is what I'm going to do with Cadey.

    *run free old gal*

I am tired today. That was far too much driving for one weekend. We drove 15 hours this weekend!

Saturday we went to a rainbowfish seminar and FH bought some fish. He bought two new species. We now have like five new species of rainbowfish that haven't even been described yet. That's pretty cool. Now the pressure if on to breed them to introduce more into the hobby. On Sunday I went to meet the lady who is making my wedding dress. That seemed to go well - she is really nice and I trust her to do a good job, which is terrifying, because it is kind of a big deal, but I am not going to worry about it and trust her. Then we drove into the city and had dim sum for dinner.

I have a four day weekend this week. I am off Thursday and Friday for Canada Day. I am reallllllly looking forward to that.

Oh, crap.  Please take care of yourself.  Call the Domestic Abuse hotline and get some leads to help you.  I know you don't want to leave Cadey, but you're not good to anybody if he stabs you. Stay strong and know I'm thinking of you.

Melinda, I agree with Tina. ^

Melinda, call your local animal shelter - many have programs in place for dogs belonging to women leaving abusive homes.  Here it's called the Safe Homes program and our shelter boards the dogs for up to 2 weeks; I think the program may even be free, but I'm not positive about that.
