Wow, I didn't realize that I was so close to 10K.  I want a liquor themed prize, & yeah, I probably do need a 12 step program too!

Oh goodie.  DH finally got around to calling.  Seems he's been sitting in a truck stop for the past couple hours somewhere in VA barfing. 

Ouchie!  Glenda, I'm really sorry Todd is having such a miserable trip.  Hopefully this is just a delayed reaction to all the stress of knowing/not knowing, interviews, etc. and tomorrow he'll be back to his old self.

Vinia, yes I know Terri. Terri was the TA in one of my (favorite) classes. Haven't actually seen her since then, owing probably largely to not being in the area. I think I would even recognize her if I saw her somewhere, and also she has some really cool bull terriers.

Well, DH has made it into SOUTH Carolina now and coffee has been in the gut for 30 minutes, so here's hoping thats where it stays!

He is thinking that the BK double cheeseburger he had for lunch might have caused this.  We have friends who went ot BK a few months ago.  The ONLY one in the family who didn't get sick after eating burgers, was the little girl who had chicken.  Hmmmmm.

Edited to add....are those 10,000 actual posts or did Amanda loose a bunch like some of us did when the forum changed last time?  New software or something.  I lost close to 20,000 posts and had several years shaved off my tenure here.

Are people seriously stupid these days? I picked up a course of antibiotics and, because I have not had the med before (because I do not take antibiotics in general) I had to do the quick patient consult thing. The pharmacist (who is just a pleasant man)asked if I knew how to take them. I really had no idea what he meant and, assuming that he meant how many times per day, said that I hadn't had a chance to look at the written prescription before dropping it off. No...he meant did I know you had to take it by mouth...apparently there have been issues  I replied that, oh, I shouldn't stick it in my ear then?  Apparently this was once an issue

I was told I had a 'wicked attitude' today.... what I REALLY wanted to say was she hadn't seen/heard anything yet... but I restrained, somehow...

The Hawks won the Stanley Cup. I'm ecstatic!

So, I asked some people to sign off that they read and understood some directions, or write me an email that they didn't get what I was asking so that I could explain it to them. Apparently, they are completely illiterate, because they haven't done it. 

I asked someone else, because there is a plan due to the insurance company for a client on the 15th, that if she needed something from me for this, that she let me know by today. Today has 14 minutes left, but I really wanted to know it while I was in the area of the client's house, since I have no time to get anything from his house if we need it. If your profession involves overseeing lots of people, and making sure they are doing things correctly, you need to answer your email in a timely manner and communicate with people. It's incredibly frustrating. Last time, we needed to do it by 12/31, and I was on the phone with this person squaring things away as I was trying to get ready to go over to my friend's house for New Year's Eve. This Friday and Saturday, I'll be away.I'll answer my email, periodically, but if she actually needs to talk to me, I might have to find a highway rest stop to do that.

That does sound a little like me, doesn't it?  I opted to go a different direction though.  For my 10,000th post, I went for the Warm Fuzzy thread.  I threw up in my mouth a little while I was typing it out, but I meant every word.

Julie, if you want to share the gossip, I am totally available!  I do love good gossip, although I usually try to stay away from drama.

Glenda, I'm glad to hear that Todd is feeling better.  My 10K posts were all mine.  I didn't lose any on the switch over. 

Erica, restraint is overrated, & I am sure that, somewhere out there, there is a study that says that it can actually be detrimental to your health.  I want you to stay healthy for a good long time, so.....go ahead & "rip her a new one!"   If you do decide to go that direction, keep in mind that I like gossip, & I want to hear about it!

Steph, love the pics!  Apollo looks like the happiest boy in the world doing his jumps!

I have a buttload of USB cords at my office.  I know with cameras each one has a different size connecting end, but if you want to PM me with your camera model, maybe we can find out the right size and if I have one I can send it to you.  Seriously...a whole bunch of them sitting in a box not being used.
