Cathy, Ouch!  I hope it's not your appendix and you feel all better!

    Paige-job-now!!

Congrats to Chuffy and the new baby girl, can't wait to see pics!

    Good thoughts to all.

Just puttering around today. Going to start planning/packing for our little family vacation to Legoland this weekend.  Noah is SO excited he wants today to be Saturday.   Ok and then just to let you all in on a little surprise- remember the puppy I posted about- the improperly coated pwd?  We're going to meet her Saturday night..............

My gosh Cathy!  Good and healthy, painfree vibes headed your way,

I've had my excitment for the day.  When DS went to take Sheba out, Tyler darted out after her.  Tyler has gotten not great about coming, and, he really did have to pee.  Of course DS knew he could more sucessfully catch Ty, so left me with Sheba.  Not a problem, but chasing Ty does nada.  DS gets the bright idea to open the door of his truck.....oh good.  Sheba LOVES rides so she dragged me, in a sitting position backwards until I could get a grip.  Then, when Tyler started towards the truck door, DS grabbed him and made him yelp so then Sheba had to race to the rescue.  I got dragged about 2 feet that time.

Note to self....hang on to that boy when the door is open!

Edited to add:  Holy CRAP. I just responded to a notification of a friends request and found 37 farmville requests on facebook.  ALLLLLLL from the same person.  Wouldn't ya think that when I have turned down all this persons gifts and ignored s/he would get the idea that I don't play farmville?????

    • Gold Top Dog

LOL! The friend's request was probably from me. Cuz ya know I'm just evil. Stick out tongue  My friend's list has finally figured out not to swamp me in gifts and stuff cuz I just ignore them all.

I spent the evening in the ER.

Wow!  Cathy, I hope tonight is better than last night.  After an ordeal like that you're going to need a little mini vacation somewhere. Being in an ER these days is like being in a zoo where all the animals have managed to get out of their cages. I spent about 4 hrs. in the one here a few months ago with DS #1 and DGS ... turned out DGS had strep.  I remember thinking that if this is what it's like in a fairly small town where not much happens, imagine what it's like in a big, inner city hospital. I guess that's what happens when people don't have insurance and have to use the ERs for routine, non-emergency  things like coughs and colds.

A big congratulations to Chuffy, Mr. Chuffy and Will on the arrival of their new little girl. Party!!!

Good vibes to everyone who needs them and Glenda, I hope you find yourself on the way to a cooler climate very soon!

That's what DH said and he sees it on a regular basis. He's had two 911 calls for spider bites in the last couple weeks Wink. I saw one women with a little girl and the girl had a boo boo on her knee that the bandaid seemed to be handling very well. The woman was telling the girl that the dr's would put some special gel on it too. Really? You'd sit there for 4 or 5 hours for a scraped knee? DH says that some people will sit thru the whole process just to get scripts refilled. Ugh, we really need to fix the system.

    • Gold Top Dog

Well as some of you may know my parent company is a phone company....they called from my house this morning to tell me an alarm on the system showed our home internet to be out, lol.  I would have thought if the internet was out my sweet hubby would have woken me in the middle of the night to tell me so I could have it fixed by the time he woke up Stick out tongue  Well the guys were out there un be knownst to me or hubby and they said no one was home...."Watch dogs????" so I called to wake hubby up so the guys could get inside to ck the internet...

Come to find out, internet was fine, it was the phone lines that were bad and it was just a fluke that my call went thru to wake up hubby.  Now, I am not sure if that was one of those mysteries that can never be explained or what but.....where were those "watch dogs" when the guys were knocking on the door and I called and let it ring for 10 + times?????? oh uh they were asleep too!!!!!  Anybody got any "watch dogs" I could borrow for training purposes??? LMAO!!  If it had been the rattle of a snack bag they would have woken up immediately or if a rabbit hopped by the door that would have woken Rocky up... but someone driving up in a truck and working right outside the window and knocking on 2 different doors.....EXCUSE ME....Bark! LOL!

Hmm, I'd be suspicious.... like, looking for their credentials, checking out the vehicle they came in (me, I'd take down the plate #) until I'd completely confirmed they are who they say they are. I'm a little more suspicious of people who are at my house when there isn't an apparent problem....

As for me and the VA, it's a no-go.  Got the notification this morning.  I have learned that they only take the top 3 candidates based on an automatic assessment of the resumes and questionnaire answers.  So, three others scored higher than me.  Going to put in for two others in other state jobs.  *sigh*... and my sister can't loan me her car for the weekend so I've got to rent a car to take Gracie to our event an hour away.

Cathy, I'm sorry you spent last night at the ER.  PLEASE take good care of yourself and keep your cell on you should you have any further trouble.

Congrats to Chuffy on the birth of her daughter (I wonder what the name is), and congrats on Tina's beagle friend getting adopted.  Erica, did you get your response yet??  Sorry if I forgot anyone else.

LOL, I work with these guys.....know them well, they called me on my extension to tell me they were at the house. Yes in most cases I would be like you but this is a very small town rural telephone company Wink

Sorry about the VA Job Sad  It just wasnt meant to be, that means something will come along that you are going to love!

Ahahahah!!!  See, I'm so distracted I didn't pay enough attention to the first part of your post about the parent company.

At this point, I'm just disappointed because I wanted a good job, not just "any" job... and that's where I'm headed... again... if I don't get something good.  Ptuey!  Off to go marinate my boo hiss attitude in some alcohol while I prep for my sister's party tomorrow.

Bummer about the job, but fingers crossed for one state jobs.

    Congrats to Chuffy.

Fingers also crossed for Glenda's hubby.

:::trying to remember what else I read::::

Cathy sorry about the night in the ER, I dread that kind of thing, patience is not my strongest point.  I hope it doesn't come back.

So glad that Jackie's DH is home.

Oh yea....so jealous of Julie going to Peru!!

and Yay for Tina's hound friend getting a home, and its so cool that Otis's new people checked in.

I am rediculously tired.  No idea why, I got a decent amount of sleep right last night, but yet here I am, struggling to keep my eyes open.  Oh yea, and I have about 2 hours left before I can go home.  Yay Indifferent

    • Gold Top Dog

Yikes Cathy. I hope you're feeling better today.

    Bummer Paige.

Add me to the list of those excited to see pics and hear the name of Chuffy's new baby girl! Since she had the baby at home, there should really be no delay in getting us pics. Priorities! Stick out tongue

Cool, dreary and rainy here today. We really need the rain though.

My contract with the internet/phone company ran out, so I chose to do an a la carte style rather than picking one of their packages. I ended up getting faster dsl (3g) for about the same price I'm paying now. I chose to downgrade the number of long distance minutes per month since we both have Tracfone cells we can use.

Anyway, it was supposed to upgrade this month, but we haven't noticed a difference in the internet speed. So I called up tech support, and talked to the CHATTIEST phone help person I've ever met. Good grief he would not let me go. Basically all he had to do was look up some info and tell me that it doesn't actually go into effect until the 15th. He had me to a little test thing to see what the current speed was, made sure I wrote everything down so I could check it again after the 15th. And he went on and on and on. I kept saying, "Ok, thanks! I'll check again in a week." thinking he'd stop talking. Must have been lonely. lol At least he was friendly.

Thanks Steph.  I have an interview for another job on Friday.... the same time my sister wanted me to pick up her friend from the airport.  Her problem, not mine. Yay!  I gave up interview time on Weds to get the house and patios ready for her party, so, Friday is mine.

I really hope you can get your divorce from STBX... it's amazing that he is dragging this on so long by not doing the right paperwork...

Anxiously awaiting baby girl Chuffy's name...and pics...

Erica, did you get your response yet??

    I SURE did!

He called me last night, I couldn't answer (at the other job) I called him right back - no answer. Left a message. He called again this morning, I couldn't answer (on the ice) left a message, I called back, left another message - and then FINALLY I got to talk to him. He had what I needed, which was a good thing... I was ready to not go in tomorrow!

I had a friend come fix my computer today - it is working SO much faster! I'm super happy. He's ordering me more ram, and we're going to put that in next week and he said my computer should run like new! SO EXCITED! It's been running like a TURTLE forever now... so frustrating!

the aussies have been running like idiots all day today. hopefully they'll be nice and tired and let me sleep tonight! Indifferent
