Glad he's feeling better!!  It's been a sick dog kinda day here too.  RAH for wellness!! (and man, I know that feeling when you hear that PCV is down but but but *maybe* there's a reason!!)

A drop from 44% to 32% is quite a bit (I'd think) even for a dog on IV fluids...isn't it?  Any news on the crit today?

Today, he's doing great.  Aside from a cough, he's totally normal.  The vet thinks that he may have aspirated a little while he was vomitting.  He's on antibiotics, just in case.

I thought that 32% was a huge drop, but the vet wasn't concerned.  Today, he's back up to 35%, which was what our vet predicted it would be today.

He's off of cyclosporine completely, & he's on every other day azothioprine.  He's still on pred twice a day. 

Amanda -- that SO rocks.  35 is awesome ... and "wean off" is a WONDERFUL thing, isn't it??

I don't even know how to express just how wonderful the wean off is.  We had another pred reduction last week, & now we're at a level that allows him to sleep through the night without having to get up to go outside or to go get a drink.  Which means that we get to sleep through the night as well.  I had forgotten how nice sleeping all night was...
