Here's the link to the video on FB.  I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it or not, b/c I don't know what the privacy settings are (its not really on my page, I was just tagged in it, so I'm not sure if viewing goes off of my settings or his).  If you can't see it, let me know and I'll have him send me the actual file and I'll put it in photobucket.

Hearing the guys on Swamp Loggers feels like being back in northern NH... it's kinda eery... Nobody talks like that in my life anymore. lol  Southern Maine sounds different than southern NH versus Mass, etc.  But this northern Maine does sound a lot like northern NH.

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh yeah, Northern ME certainly does have a unique language! LOL!

Not into astrology, but Akyra, I wanted to say, that, even if faced with losing your donkeys, you are stronger than you think and you will survive if the b/f leaves.  I was terrified of leaving my husband, but it is 12 years later and I'm in a good place financially and emotionally.  I did what I had to to get by and keep one dog and my cat (plus my son) and it worked out for the best, even though it was hard at first.

Yes - what Tina said and more!! I gave up my job and home (it was just an apt., but still) and moved to Georgia to be with my BF. He'd quit drinking, was going to AA, blah, blah, blah. Within a few months, he started drinking again. I am not the type of person you would imagine doing this but I packed up my stuff and shipped it back here and slept on the floor of a friend's apartment until one was available. I didn't even have a job yet, so I was pretty worried but got one soon after. The whole thing cost me a fortune that I didn't have but I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I couldn't spend my life with another alcoholic. I don't know where I found the strength to walk away but I'm sooooooooo glad I did. If I could do it, you can do it.

Happy 4 day weekend everyone! At least it is here :)   I have been feeling much more positive the past few days.  Great relief... I think I've gotten through the worst of the grief for Gobie and all the moving and adjusting to a new place. Phew!

I ordered some quadline outdoor skates, excited about that (wrote about it in general chat).  Theyshould be here in a week or 2.

    Enjoying a day doing nothing!!

What Tina and Cathy said :)   Akyra you are a very bright young lady and there are options out there that include not living a life with an alcoholic!   You cant make them change!  They can only bring you down to their level and make your life miserable.   You can do it!!!  We will be here for support if you choose.

Yay... that's a fantastic way to start your Memorial Day Weekend.  Shoot, that's a great way to start any day.

Akyra - I'm a little into astrology.  I don't create charts on my own - I go to Tarot.com and use their services.  You can do a compatibility chart under the Samples Reports under the Astrology tab if you wanted - but you only get part of the report, and have to pay for the full reading.  I could try to muddle through your charts, but it would be an unreliable mess.  Totally curious here, but... is your BF a Pisces, Aquarius, or Cancer.  Almost every lifetime alcoholic I've known have been one of the above - it's almost weird.  A couple of exceptions (like an Aries), but they usualy had water sign aspects.

jobsjobsjobsusususnownownow, INDEED! :)  I suspect some movement after the Memorial Day holiday - I bet too many people are trying to get through this week and only want to get focused on their weekends, rather than hiring stuff.... right? lol

My dad was a cancer but my ex-BF was a scorpio. In many ways, they were very alike tho. DH is a taurus and my ex-DH is a taurus also. Coincidence? I doubt it. :)

My moms birthdays are March 2, and March 3.  (SO, although my mom switched from an alcoholic Cancer to a steady, loving Leo, my dad kept them Pisces, just a day apart - although he just broke up with that wife last year....)

Scorpios can be a lot like cancer in the sense that they feel things intensely.  Scorpios just tend to manuever much more stealthily.  You don't realize they're manipulating the situation from behind the scenes.  (Generalizations, of course.  No offense to any Scorpios here... but I do bet you're pretty smart and know how to get what you want...)

OH!  And my sister just called..... as my mother thought she might... my sister has given her notice today!  I wonder what the heck this means for me.  No wonder she's been so chipper all week!!!!

Don't you mean lap dancing, Barb???

    Deb W.

Why yes...lap dancin, pole dancin, skinny dippin.  When the mama's away, the kids will play.   Big Smile  How old am I again?

I am so tired though...been on the road most of the day.  Traffic 1/2 way to Austin wasn't as bad as I thought it would be considering its Friday of Memorial Day weekend.  I was 1 hour ahead of schedule though  all day.  It started getting heavy when I was close to home.

I think we'll just watch a Netflix movie tonight and go crazy tomorrow.  lol

    Happy Friday everyone!

Being retired but always have a busy day. Bathed Zubin today, worked on the kitchen remodel, and house chores.

We have 2 weeks before next shows start, so trying to catch up on the house. Hubby has a 3 day weekend from work, so that will be great.

     Have a great Friday!

    I am peeling..... EWWW Crying

And... long story short, but I have another aussie dog here for the night. Someone picked this one up off the side of the highway! (I'm being vague, hoping a legit owner is out there somewhere...) *sigh*. I couldn't turn this one away....

after tomorrow, I get a 3 day weekend! I don't think I've EVER gotten one of those! whatever will I DO with all my spare time?!

    • Gold Top Dog

Barbara, when DH & I have a weekend alone, we deem in "Nearly Naked Weekend." As you can imagine, we usually stay close to home.

    Happy Retirement to Paige's mom!

Paige, I am cruel. I would have let the landscaper attempt to hop the fence. Of course while he was on the way over, I would have let a dog or two out to make things more interesting...

I hope that Harry has a great time with his boxer buddy.

I have not felt like doing anything as of late. I've just been kinda blah, which isn't normal for me. Since I didn't want to be at work today, I left at noon, & took Bev, Shooter, & Cher out on the kayak. Actually, Bev & Shooter swan alongside, while Cher learned how to ride nicely. She did so much better than earlier this week.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. One of our neighbors had a heart attack last week. He's an older guy, & he takes care of his disabled wife, so the heart attack has really caused a strain on him. Some of the families in the neighborhood are going to go over to help get the yard cleaned up, & to add some ramps so that he doesn't have to work so hard to move his wife around in her wheelchair. When we finish there, I promised the dogs a hike. Then, the boys are having friends over for an end of school slumber party. They are going to "camp" in the yard. DH & my brother are in charge of that fun.

The rest of the weekend should be low key, & laid back.  I love low key, & laid back.

You just jinxed yourself...you know that, right?

I am done getting everything ready to go away tomorrow night - FH's little bro is coming over to stay with Pirate. His instructions are only two typed pages. That's OK, right? Now I just have to get the humans ready to go.
