I'm going to go watch Callie scamper.

*grin* well this morning you would have gotten to see my evil twin, the legal assistant, cut this haughty chick down to size (couldn't be bothered to listen to me) --

After contending with me that my figures couldn't possibly have been received -  she finally went and got HER file ... And she proudly read off MY total (which is what I'd been contending all along was the *right* figure) and I'm sitting here trying NOT to laugh the evil twin laugh until she got to the bottom and

I said "And ... the total of THAT is????" -- then she read MY figure as if it were the only one that counted and I said "That's EXACTLY right and I'm glad you 'have your hands on it' because that's the figure we SHOULD have gotten and didn't."  She caved and said she'd send us a check.

This is where my boss yells from the other room "Give em H$LL!!!!"  ----

aaaah -- occasionally it's really NICE to slip into evil twin mode and let someone trip over their own idiocy.  "vindication" is SUCH a nice word LOL

Just saw this on one of the horse streams I watch. Hard to imagine the guts it takes to steal someone's horse. So sad for the baby.

I looked and she was off and there is at least one live baby bird!!!

Whohoo for the baby bird!!!!  I would feel the same way!  I feed my birds, watch them court,  build nests, fight off other birds, its kinda like having extra pets that you keep an eye on :)

Well the AC guy made it today,   fan motor is out, not an expense I was planning but better than having to find the money for a whole new unit.  If it were just me and the boys we could survive without it but....not my honey.  So I said go ahead and the guy will come back this afternoon and this evening we should have air.

Got 1/2 day in the office then a seminar this afternoon.  So just 2 of us here this morning and keeping kinda busy.

Hugs to Meg, Bry and Pirate!

Fingers and paws crossed for Glenda and Lies men!

I wanna be a little mouse in the corner and watch Callie scamper too Wink

You know what?  The heck with jinxing anything.  How 'bout some "good job vibes" for NM??

You guys need to tell me if I'm being a bad dog mom.  It started with us simply forgetting in the mornings and no one reminding us, and now it's evolved to just feeding the dogs once a day in the evening.  They get the full days allotment then, and even with one feeding, aren't all finishing their bowls, so I don't think they are hungry during the day or else they'd be scarfing it down.  Think this is OK?  I've never fed my crew just once a day, but no one is complaining or asking for food........

I only feed my boys once a day, sorta.   They get their bisquit when I get up!  Then when Ron gets up they get a treat from him.  When he has his lunch they get something from him.  When I get home around 5:30 I change my clothes and feed them.  That way they have a few hours to settle and do their business (they are very regular) before bedtime at which time they get their Yogurt treat!

Good thoughts to Pi and Meg, Still sending Glenda and Leis job vibes and YAY for the baby bird!

I got quickly snapped out of my funk yesterday afternoon after learning my mom was in the hospital with NO heartrate.  Great!  She drove herself to the ER with a heartrate of 159 and bloodpressure up in the 200's!

Then once she got there she crashed.  She is ok now.  I am a bit pissed everyone waited to call me until after all was stable again.

She is on several meds for heart, blood pressure, depression, sleep- 12 pills per day in all. I am no doctor but it just seems like WAY too much.  NOw she also has fatty liver disease (non-alcohol related) from years and years of way too much meds (imo).

The doctors she sees seem to just throw a pill at her for any issue rather than get at the bottom of the problem in the first place.  I guess I am too holisitically minded.

So no time to woe-is-me over Gobie and getting another dog and such.  Time to look at the bright side, my mom died today for  a few moments and is still alive, thank goodness!

Tina nice buy on the steaks and I am impressed by your appetite - at .39/lb and at a total of over $5 that would be over a 10lb  steak! Enough for one?? LOL

Please don't tell my boss I am mathematically challenged. Embarrassed

It was $12.99/lb for the steak, which they marked at 0.39 lbs.  So it was $5.07, but it's not a 10 lb steak.  Anyway, it was still a deal.  I kept thinking I couldn't see a 1 in front of that 5.

I was just playing with you - I'll give myself a smack and tell myself to play nice LOL.  I knew something wasn't right when you said it was enough for 1.  Couldn't resist teasing you

I knew you were teasing me, though it did make me do the calculation.  Then when I went home for lunch, I re-read the tag on the steak.

I'm not that thin-skinned!  And am not afraid to laugh at myself, which I did heartily, and got Moose the cat thinking I have lost it.

There is far too much math going on here today.

I'm OK, but not brave enough to go and read all of your kind words in the Spiritual Circle thread. Not yet. But, thank you all.

Glenda, if the dogs seem happy, I can't see why it wouldn't be fine. Rascal gets fed twice a day, but often barely touches his breakfast. As long as the dogs are happy and not starving to death during the day (Rascal demonstrates his hunger by, among other things, spending hours trying to sniff ancient crumbs from underneath the fridge), once a day is fine! IMHO at least.

Sending out lots of employment thoughts for y'all. Fingers really are tightly crossed.

I'm getting tired of spring storms and this one that's supposed to hit this afternoon looks like it might last for three days.  I went out in the patio and brought all the  towels in and I'll  try to snag the lounge chair cushions before it starts. On the upside, all the plants in pots look totally amazing and my trumpet  vine is about to burst into bloom. We're about 20 degrees below what we should be for this time of year.

Has anybody figured out yet what *Lost* was actually about?  I think everyone on the island was dead, but when did  they die?

((Meg)) - I suspect you will come up with a very sweet and unique way to memorialize Tiki... and I hope that helps to ease some of the heartache.

My grandmother has a mantra "Money Money Money Me Me Me Now Now Now" whenever she needs money to come to her.  I'm going to modify it for me, Glenda & her hubs, and Liesje's hubs: "Good jobs Good jobs Good jobs Us Us Us Now Now Now".  Still nothing over here.  As much as I enjoy laying out in the sun on gorgeous days like today, I've cleaned everything in the house at least 4 times over, put away every outstanding  issue I could.  Now I need something to do, other than homework.

I'm trying to maintain a focus on the "Law of Attraction" these days - and things seem to be working.  Vibrational output resonating with options out there...it's time.  I can't wait to see how things look in 3 months.

PS, I HEART my dog. She's such a good little girl.  Breed ambassador twice this week already.

As for feeding, Gracie has always been a grazer, despite twice daily feedings.  Yet I resisted the free-feeding that has come with living w/my ex and now my sister who insist on free-feeding.  I've gotten around this by putting canned or meat rolls into Gracie's food so she eats in one sitting, twice a day.  The other two are just randomly fed at this point.  Patrick would eat all day if given the chance - if he's breathing, he's eating, if given the chance. lol
