Also for your logo...a dog sitting in a raft with a couple people might be cute, too. Do you have a tagline? Maybe "Why dogpaddle, when you can RAFT" or similar.

Gina - You are so clever with this kind of stuff. I think that's a great logo.

You are creative... I like that tagline! We've been throwing some around like "White water rafting gone to the dogs" and "doggone rafting" but those, admittedly, kinda stink lol. Now I'm envisioning the dog with the people in the raft with his front paws up on the front of the boat and nose in the air. Gotta admit sometimes I'm bad with the creative stuff.

Feel free to use it, if it works...just make sure you let us see the logo when it's done! That's my price LOL!

It's friday going to the weight loss clinic again went last friday and started on the pills they gave me on saturday, lost 3-4lbs I'm gonna give it a try for another week. Doctors usually say give meds at least 2 weeks before you decide if they work so I'll give these pills another week.

The first 3 days they gave me energy which I loved but after that back to my same self sluggish, for the eating really haven't been eating much but can't seem to lose anymore weight not sure if it's because I have the "curse" right now or what but it's very disappointing.

I wanna beat a half corgi lol dogs were all outside and what does Copper do run over to Daisy and knocks her over bad bad Copper, Daisy will only play with Copper not sure why that is she'll also only hump(she has always humped the other dogs first Princess not much Lucky) him lol So I'm thinking he was trying to get Daisy started but wow did she fall over. I see her limping a little so hopefully it will go away.

Hope everyone has a great weekend......

Deb, it was actually a very busy week.  I found out that some of my people were taking advantage of the work from home option.  It's never good when they are logged into our system, & on the clock, yet when I call them they are, admittedly, shopping, eating out, getting Starbucks, & in one case, 3 hours away from their computer that must have "miraculously" turned itself on & logged into the system.

wow, I want to "work from home". Did they really admit that to you? Why on earth did they even answer when you called? Some people don't think lol

Wouldn't you think that you'd just not answer the phone and try to bs that the phone was dead or something? I would so love to work from home but if I did, I think I'd be grateful enough about the option that I wouldn't take advantage of it.

Speaking of work...I've been struggling more than ever this last year with how unhappy I am in this job. Upside is that it pays well and the benefits are great. The downside is that I'm alone in an office for 8-9 hrs a day. If my boss comes in, and that's rare, it's worse than being alone. I have a 45 min. commute each way too and that just gives me too much time to feel sad or stressed about the job. I've been here almost 6 yrs and I have no motivations at all these days.

Okay, so enough whining but when DH and I were talking last night, he said "just retire now". I laughed, but I haven't been able to quit thinking about it. I'm 53 and can't collect on my retirement until I'm 55, but I can go out now and just defer it. If the market hadn't tanked so badly, I wouldn't be worried but our investments took a huge hit. I could still draw enough on them tho to get by...but that's just seems silly to do. I'm just having such a hard time imagining sitting in this office for 2 more years and there's no way I'm going to find another govt job right now, so that's not an option. I know that there are a lot of people who would love to have this job and I should be grateful for it, but that line of thinking isn't helping me much these days. :(

Just so ya know........It's spelled with a 'y" not an "i" ! Stick out tongue

It's an actual group.  Here, it's traditional for the D.O.B. to head up the annual Pride Parade.  My partnere and I did it a couple years.  Not much fun because the police forced us to ride only in a straight line across...staight ahead...and stop at every intersection !  We went to the parade in Seattle once and the group was riding in a big lazy oval round and round slowly advancing along the route.

I think you should be allowed to bring a four-legged companion in to work, esp if you don't see clients.  I'm sorry that you're not happy at the job.  My mom has decided to retire this year, partly because she's overstressed at her job, but more because she wants to spend her time with my step-dad who is going to be 72, is diabetic, and I think she worries that she won't have any time being retired with him.

Good wishes heading to Glenda.  If they're an hour ahead of you, that tells me it's East Coast... hmmm..

I got my award check today, but there was this oddball handwritten note in the margin of some form I have to return that says "Hung up on me 4/29/10".  I never hung up on anyone from Fin Aid, and in fact, I checked my logs and I never received/made a call from/to them on that day, either!  Not even the day before/after.  Weird.  I assume they got a wrong number or something, but I feel compelled to send them a note back that I did not hang up and it wasn't me if there was a phone call made by them... weird.

PS, the sun is back!  Woohoo!  Once the grass dries out, I can mow it.

LMBO @ Gina, Deb and Mindy. Hahahaha.

I hear you guys being bored with your jobs. I am in that boat too. I am trying to decide what I want to do career wise, if I want to go back to school or not. Could someone please find me or FH a job in Rossland, BC??? That is all I ask. My job right now, while I love it when we are busy, it is a dead end. The lawyer I work for has one, maybe two more years left before he retires, I am not getting another raise, the people I work with are complete white trash. I am just sitting tight though, since FH and I are planning a move out west next spring. Which reminds me.........Gina, how the heck do your beagles not bark? Sadie needs some serious training before we move and have to live in a city. I am scared.

I am dragging FH around on Sunday to do wedding stuff. He actually agreed to come pretty willingly. I was surprised. I think he knows that should he refuse to help, I will refuse to have a wedding. LOL.
