Mindless Finally Friday!! (really its Thursday)

Barb I gotta tell you -- you're wise for letting the mechanic do that -- one winter a mouse made a nest in my Dad's air-conditioner.  ewwwwwww WHAT a mess.

YAY -- we've got new sod out back.  In fact, Tink decided she didn't want to come in this morning -- she was just gonna STAY out there and LAY in a sunbeam!!!  When I stuck my head out this morning when she didn't race in with everbuddy else she tilted that little puggy head and I nearly saw her lips move:

"Mom -- this is NICE ... come sit WIF me!!"  She came in willingly enuf but she was enjoying that LOL

Yay for new sod.  Today is a big day at my house too.  We are having automatic sprinklers installed; new grass layed in spots and rock borders put in.  New training sessions forthcoming, I'm sure.  LOL  No, Heidi...those little sprinkler heads are not for you. 

 speaking of new grass, I think my attempts to restore my back yard lawn is working! I put down contractors seed mix + topsoil and with all the rain and cool temps we've been having it is growing in nicely despite the dogs! I think I spent about $30 on the seed mix and $20 on the topsoil. I can do that every year if this works.

I wish it were Friday because then I'd be on my way to the beach!

Barb just yuck! Bugsy was sniffing my kitchen floor the other day way too intently and then was licking an AC vent - very concerning

Bugsy seems to be over or mostly over his bug now.  And somehow on his walk with DH went cat hunting twice.  how in the world DH still remains one step behind B in cat hunting I do not know. Makes me want to smack DH!

However I am very glad it wasn't me trying to pull him out of the culvert 'cause we'd still be there

I have a client in 12 minutes who hasn't sent an update so I guess we are winging it - not ideal to say the least

New sod - wow we are so dry again, most of the neighborhood is browned out and all the baby grass I had growing is dead.  Sprinklers just aren't going to do it - bring on a few good storms please

Gosh!  You scared me.  I thot I MISSED a day and was a day behind!  Phew!

Before 8AM I had BOTH deep freezes cleaned, defrosted and reloaded.  Of course, I started a bit after 6.....but, they are in the garage and it gets really hot out there so if I wanted to get them done it had to be early.  And, I really wanted to get them done.

Good thots and vibes to all who need them.  I'm off to get more packing and stuff done.

I'm glad I read this after the day was corrected. I'd have super excited...and then super bummed out. I do wish it was Friday though.

I really don't even have anything to chat about other than the weather. It's supposed to be mid-80s today - yay!!

I love my Aunt. We're both a tad scatterbrained and we totally forgot that it was my Mom's 50th bday. We knew when her bday was but we both thought she was still in her forties! So, we're pulling together a surprise Sunday brunch out with her....last minute. So far it's looking like we're going to pull it off! Granted, the only people invited are the family members we all actually talk to, which greatly narrows down the list to me, my brother, my Aunt and my Aunt's daughter lol and my Cousin's daughter and my Aunt's son (the children are both the same age just about, my Aunt and her daughter were pregnant at the same time)

I can't believe my Mom is 50 now. She SO does not act her age (in a good way) nor does she look it at all. I love my Mom, she's one of my closest friends. 

Now, I just need to get her a gift for Sunday!

Gosh!  You scared me.  I thot I MISSED a day and was a day behind!  Phew!

The only way I have of knowing for sure what day it is anymore is by trying to remember what was on TV the night before.  Once everything goes into re-runs, I'll never know. On the upside, it's really gorgeous outside today - no rain or wind. I really need to drag out the old Dyson and start vacuuming up the trail of dog hair clumps instead of wandering outside where nothing needs to be done.

So - I did my good deed for the day.  My neighbor was telling me how her son collects guns.  Apparently he has quite the collection, some very old, and keeps them in a nice locked gun cabinet.  Of course I told her to tell him he could have the gun in my underwear drawer since I don't anticipate ever needing it.  He was a very happy camper.

On the upside, it's really gorgeous outside today - no rain or wind.

It really is. I just took a chair and sat ouside for awhile and it's quite warm in the sun. It made it hard to come back inside and go back to work though.

Oh my!!  We have a bite!   PLEASE keep the fingers crossed and whatever else you believe in that this is it!  An interesting location.....not optimal but it sure doesn't suck.

Bites, in this case, are vewy vewy good.  Crossing everything possible.  Ouch!  But, its for a good cause!

No news on the carcass under my hood.  Me thinks the mechanic is skeered. 

 It's Friday here . I am SOO glad. It's been a loooong week (and I have the bags/circles under my eyes to prove it!

BF and I have made up. Big drama was me telling him I want to move to the States without him- he had been planning on coming but I really wasn't ready for it (we've only been together for about 6 months) and there really wasn't any feasible, legal way for him to stay and work. He wants to get married and have babies so he's a bit devastated, but we've decided to make the most of the time before I go, and then try the long distance thing.  At the moment I'm feeling like this is the right thing for me, though I think all my other friends think I should just end the relationship since it's been such a rocky 6 months... we'll see how things go, anyway.

Have been watching the movie/doco "what the bleep do we know". Mind blowing- quantum physics style. Did you know there's actual scientific evidence in experimental quantum physics that thoughts/intention can DO things/change the world!

 oye - I have spent the last hour or so pulling together Bugsy's stuff for the beach.  He now believes that any move I make no matter how slight is leading to the car and a trip. This will be a long night LOL

I've been irritated with DH since this morning - trying to let it pass but GRRRRRRRR.  Do men ever think of anyone other than themselves???

He probably went to buy a gas mask.  Look for it on the bill, listed under "safety items". lol   We've been called in to businesses and homes to find the source of dead animal stink in duct work.  Eww.  Whoever happens to be on my crap list gets to run those calls.   One time the guy I sent got so sick trying to get the decomposing opossum out (bit by gooey bit) he puked in the duct.  Then he had to clean that up too.  Service people are way, way underpaid sometimes.

I'm very tired of work and trying to stay focused but I am just not ready for another summer....
