Mindless Finally Friday!! (really its Thursday)

 Sorry to burst your bubble, but today is Thursday...

I am totally in the same mindset as you Lauren.  Yesterday, I was thinking it was Thursday.  This morning I said something about it being Friday, and DH had to remind me it is Thursday.  Ugh.

Something has died under the hood of my SUV.  Gross deluxe.  The day before yesterday, all of a sudden, I heard a rattling in the air conditioner.  I turned off the A/C and the rattling stopped.  Turned it back on and it started back up.  Yesterday, still rattling...then yesterday afternoon, more rattling....but in addition to that, OMG the smell.  On the way home, the rattling stopped...but the smell got worse.  Something is not right.  Also, when I got home, the dogs greeted me as usual; and they confirmed something is dead in the dash (or somewhere) with their reactions. 

So, this morning the Blazer is at the mechanics so he can open the dash to see what lies dead in there. 

Hope everyone has a great Friday.  Er, uh, I mean Thursday.

It must be the mindset of the day.  I thought it was Friday too !!!  I even stopped and got the Friday morning bagels for the office!!!  Duh.

Anyway, I feel so much better today than I have in days.  I was able to scarf down a coke zero at 6 a.m. as per my usual, which I haven't been able to do in days.  I'm planning on a very, very, very happy reunion with my Grey Goose tomorrow night.

 Good morning today. Was pretty sure the first kid was not going to get to school on time, or at least definitely he wouldn't be ready when the next up in line got there this morning, but we did it. I actually only got out of bed at the time I am supposed to leave for his house, but I made it on time.  I told him about that, and challenged him to beat my getting ready in 5 minutes, and he did it. And it's all thanks to the IPhone. I looked up sports scores for him as he did each item.

I am going to lunch with my teacher from first and second grade today. I'm just a little bit excited about that. This place we're going to looks pretty fancy. 

Since last Thursday, I haven't had a plan for the day. Well, Friday I did, but I didn't write it, because the plan was work, drive, panic and study, change the clothes, pace the hall, test, drive home. I took this week to be totally lazy, but I need to get back on the planning next week, because there are a few potential ideas I have kicking about that I might like to materialize.

 Dragging this morning - new foster girl decided she really doesn't like being crated so she whined for the first hour or two after lights out, was quiet for 2 or 3 hours and whined again, so I took her out.  She pottied, I put her back in the crate, and tried to go back to sleep.  Two hours of whining later I got up. :P

We have a little wren's nest on our back porch with five little eggs.  I have pic's but no time right now to post.  We will have to see how this plays out because Belle and Rex have already noticed little mama wren flitting around. :(  

I wish it were Friday too. 

 Oh I love wrens. I hope they survive the dogs!

I'm feeling a lot better today. Last night's sar training was just what I needed to adjust my attitude. Neiko did great and I had some good discussions about a bunch of different things. I must have slept well too because I actually woke up on time.

Your little Wren nest reminds me of the nest we had in our Hibiscus tree a few years ago.  Sweet little cardinals in there.  I noticed one evening that a huge owl was sitting on the wrought iron fencing about 2 feet away from the nest...and boy did he have his eyes honed in on them.  Darn bully owl wasn't going to get MY baby cardinals.  DH ran to get the bb gun and shot towards it (not at it)...and it flew away. 

The mechanic called DH this morning about the SUV.  He says there is something evil in there.    I'll be curious to know what crawled up there and committed suicide.
