Weird spots around genitilia...

We jus tnoticed weird spots on my pups belly near the genitillia. They almost appear greenish in color, look like a large whitehead. Any idea of what it may be? Here is a picture of one.

From what I can see, it looks like a pimple. How old is the pup? I think it's pretty common in older puppies (4-6months) though I'm not sure.

My pup is almost 7 months old. It certainly looks like a pimple. Are they common in pups? I thought that's what it might be, but wasn't certain. Should I bring him to the vet? I hate to keep bringing him but things like this worry me.

Hi -- if it's got pus in it, then it's a pustule. If it is a bump with nothing in it, likely it's a papule (go figure -- that's the medical name for them). However, watch it closely -- if it is actually a 'lump' and if you can pick it up with your fngers and it feels 'rooted' underneath -- GET TO THE VET.

Particularly in the genital area you do have to be careful. But as little as you can see, that does look like a pustule. Dogs get them just like we do.

It's defintely got pus in it, it's ready to burst. Thanks so much for you rinsight and knowledge. Sometimes I don't know what I would do without this site.

High probability that is a staph infection. you could try a short term home remedy (antibiotic oinment/cream). If it does not clear up soon (5-7 days) then a vet appointment.
