Deb, is that you out there?

well my sweet Bugsy boy was laying at the back door when I woke up - poor guy is still a digestive mess, although there was a normal poop out there so at least I know it isn't a block.  He'll be on rice and beef for a few meals in the hopes to clear it up prior to Friday. I always feel so badly that he doesn't come wake us up or make some noise.  goodness knows how long he was at the back door

Some good news - my stepson has just got a promotion, he's a really nice guy but has been slow to improve himself.  he's a husband and a father of two gorgeous sons and I think he is finally taking on that the life he desires is his job to achieve.  I hope this pushes him to get a degree.

OK lots to do before my training session today

Got passed over for a work trip for a conference that is clearly slated to a person with my job. The decision speaks volumes and I'm very much not happy about it. This just cements a decision that I've been waffling on for months

In other news...I'm about to get my blood drawn and its gonna hurt!

    Yep - it's me  . . . the one and only.

Note to self:  never, ever, (even if a doctor encourages you to do so) mix Levaquin and Prednisone together again.  Ever.  I guess the doc figured he would make my throat feel better by making my stomach feel like it was in the 5th layer of hell in Dante's Inferno.  Just to give you an idea of how sick I was, I haven't had a drop of alcohol in 7 days, and that my friends, is sick.

As for Agnes  . . . Tina was gracious enough to reach out to me privately to let me know what was going on.  I haven't opened the thread yet, because I just cant go there yet.  But I just want to say:

Agnes:  you have earned and achieved the most perfect peace, so rest easy my sweet little brown dog.  You are a Queen among queens.

OK - I'm going to stop now.

The cutest tiger striped pup you ever saw showed up at the office this morning.  He was scratching at the door to come in! lol  Must have a secret sign that says "dog sucker inside" that the stray dogs all see.  He made himself right at home, stole my heart and will be safe till we figure out if he has a home.  One of the guys at work has already called his brother (his dog recently died) and the brother wants the dog if he's unclaimed.  I have no camera today at work or would share pic's of this adorable pup.  He's very thin, has some ticks but also has a collar on but with no tags. :(  I'll take him up to my vet in a bit and have him scanned.   I think I may have to let someone else keep the little guy until we figure it out or I could seriously consider keeping him. He's just one of those pups that instantly makes a connection.  I don't need/want another dog right now.

Karen, hope Bugsy's issues get resolved and quickly.

I have an eye doc appointment this afternoon with the retinal specialist.  I missed my last checkup in Feb and I'm hoping that I have nothing going on.  I hate this checkup.  It takes forever and we are so busy at work it's a terrible time for me to be gone but it's got to be done, so off I go.

Deb, that's enough of being sick.

I need more work on how to be loud at 5:45 in the morning. I was successfully loud when I came home this morning, but other people were up. Also, this guy sleeps like he's dead. I mean, we were running around screaming at each other this morning, lights are on, and he is still asleep. At least when I was that age and slept late, I had to get up eventually and go to a job, and I went to school. Freaking laziest human being on earth.

I am pleased to announce that the RV is squeaky clean now.  Floors, walls, ceilings, windows, you name it, has been scrubbed to within an inch of it's life.  The cats are not pleased that their litter box was removed from the shower stall, but hey....my being able to shower trumps their choice of potty spots!  If they weren't so intent on pushing half the litter out of the box, I'd just let it stay and pull it out when we want to shower, but nope, I am NOT willing to have to clean up litter every freaking time we want to shower.

Have things pretty much down to bare survival mode in the house.  Either packed or moved to the RV depending on level of space and need for the item.  The garage is going to be a major challenge since every time I try to order it, DS goes behind me and messes it right back up.......HE is going to help with that today!  I'm sure he'll be just thrilled.

Off to the medical center.  Have a great day everyone!

    WOW!  You really were sick!

::::Smacks Jackie gently with the 2x4 for not having her camera::::

Jen, the easy way to wake up a hard, lazy sleeping person is to kick them & tell them that they are in the way.  They are usually still too groggy to notice that you are being less than truthful.

My kid was actually innocent!  I'm so proud!  I understand that any time that "incident in the restroom" or "fireworks" are mentioned, he is the likely suspect, but this time he didn't do it, & wasn't even in the room when it happened.  I didn't have to argue with the principal about it because the librarian that DS was working with yesterday heard about the incident & let the principal know that the wrong kid was being blamed.

In a move of desperation last night, I stopped at a convenience store for beer.  All that they had, cold, was Natural Light.  I haven't drank that since I was a very poor college student, & this morning, I can remember why.....

I *thought* that I was going to get a little action on the couch last night, but that went down the crapper when Brinxx started barking.  DS2 was on the move, & we had to go convince him that he needed to go back to bed instead of going outside at 1 in the morning.

Well....I should be working, but instead I am looking on Etsy for some wedding invitations. I keep wavering between making them myself and having letterpress ones made. I've found some BEAUTIFUL lace letterpress ones on Etsy that I think I will have to inquire about. FH thinks I am going to drive myself nuts researching this wedding stuff, but I can't help it. I have a total vision in my head, I just need to find the stuff to make it all come together.

FH has a lead on another job that might be coming available in a month or so which could be interesting, to see what they offer him, if it will be worthwhile leaving his job he has now. It's with two guys that he used to work with when he started with the company he is with now. The one was fired and the other quit shortly after and now they have their own drafting company. He's in a good position in that he's working in the architectural drafting field right now, but his training in mechanical, so he knows other programs that the architectural guys don't, which come in very handy. Also, since those two guys left the company he's with currently, he's had the chance to very quickly be thrown into a project management role (without the title, but at least it's experience).

Deb, I hope you are feeling better - that sounds awful!

Yay!  You should be proud!  Sometimes kids actually surprise you in a good way (coming from the person who also had one of "those" kids).

Deb, you're making me all teary-eyed again.

My cats have not tried to lay on Agnes's bed since she crossed over. Daily it was a battle to keep them off her space.  They truly were jealous, or just plain evil.

Jackie, you're sure you don't need more on your plate right now?  Mmmm...puppy breath.  BTW, good luck with the eye appointment.

    Jen, taser the lazy SOB.

:::Smacks Meg with the 2x4....HARD!!!::::  I want cupcakes dammit!

Jackie, in this situation you should step back & ask yourself a very important question......."What Would Amanda Do?"  Wink

I just enjoyed a leisurely slice of chocolate cake, filled with chocolate mousse, decorated with chocolate ganache and chocolate shavings!! Yes, Jackson is at the vet's being neutered.

I'm just trying to figure out what to do with all the other hours I now have free...

I had coca cola cake for breakfast, so who am I to say you shouldn't eat a cupcake. I am definitely going to try Dr.Pepper next time. I bet that will be good. I need to thicken the icing even more though.

I'm thinking of cooking something today, but I have no idea what. I need to see what we have around.
