Bugsy was up to full high jinx this evening so I have a feeling he's is doing better.  i did find 3 normal-ish poops in the yard and three 'thank doG he did them outside poops' so hopefully all that was the problem. I caved and fed him a cup of kibble with a scoop of pumpkin

I got new tires on my car - this makes me so happy, sad I know

Oh and because I cannot travel without her, Aunt Flo arrived in time for the beach

Stressed!  Soooo stressed.  We have a huge trade show coming up next week, and being the only woman in the office, I am apparently the only person capable of doing anything in advance and getting everything organized for it.  Gah!  These guys better start stepping up or they will find out what the idog 2x4 feels like upside their heads.

Ooh!  Good news is, over the weekend, we found my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding!  We found it at Ross of all places, and it was $14!!  I'm still in shock, but very happy about that!  I was getting worried I'd end up spending $150 on a dress I'll wear once, but $14 for a dress I'll wear once?  Noooo problem!

I *think* that my grandmother is doing ok.  I've had three dysfunctional conversations with my mother, who has blamed the stroke on me, & told me to go "cook" myself, so far.  I did talk with my uncle this evening, & he filled me in a bit.  Her right side isn't functional, & she's having difficulties talking, but they are already talking about getting her transfered to a rehab facility.  I think that this is a good sign.

I fired two people today, & I intend to fire three more tomorrow.  I am soooo sick of the high school drama in the office. 

DS1 got in trouble today at school.  Usually, he's candid about what he did, but today, he's denying that he was involved.  He says that he wasn't in class when the issue arose, & that he was in the library working on a report.  He promises me that he had nothing to do with the problems in the classroom, & says that if the principal refused to listen to him.  He says that if they pull records then they will see that he was logged in to the computer system in the library, & that one of the librarians helped him find two books, so they will know that he was there.  He's never given me a reason to question him, so I have a meeting scheduled with the principal tomorrow morning.  If he isn't guilty then I don't want him punished.  If he's lying to me, there will be hell to pay at our house....

  I got caught by the karma police tonight. The trail that is by my house has a poop bag station. It's been empty for WEEKS. Long enough so that I ran through my entire stash of recycled plastic bags and had to buy poop bags from the dollar store. I am horribly cheap, btw. So, tonight, we walked up there just to chuck the used bag in the trash, and *wahhhhhh* it was refilled! I, being a greedy little sucker, pulled a dozen or so out and A FREAKING COCKROACH JUMPED OUT AND ATTACKED ME. That, my friends, is what you get for stealing poop bags from the parks and rec department.

Having stupid bf dramas. Don't know how I managed to voluntarily get myself stuck in such a toxic relationship.

Then I found out this morning most recent ex bf (we are still good friends) had just come back from his trip to Canada and then had to go to his Nana's funeral- she got really sick while he was away and must've died before he got back. She was such a wicked lady - went to Melbourne with the family and she drank everybody under the table! And still had a nightcap before bed. So sad.

I am so looking forward to having a break- going to Texas in 2 weeks for conference then Portland.... then after that only a month before I can get out of this place -hopefully. 

And it's only 2:30. someone shoot me now.

Speaking of beer....I just spilled mine all over the bed.  DH was not impressed, but he's a sweetie so he's cleaning up the mess.  I suppose that we are sleeping on the couch tonight.  Yay me!

Amanda, beer in bed?  That musta been a craptastic day.

Hail is pelting the skylights (did I mention there are 8?) and Henry is not pleased.  I thought the hail had passed earlier, but it's ramping back up again.  Sounds like angry popcorn... then angry rocks.  Hope the skylights hold up.

Finally talked to my oldest sister today - last time I heard her voice was Christmas day, last time she and I chatted privately was at least 6 mos before that.  Found out my mother is really not worth talking to about anything requiring advice or sane perspective.  She'll get a pat on the head from here on out... I love you and you're sweet, but you've lost your mind.
