I'm actually well rested for once (yay for the memory foam mattress pad!).

Now THAT is some really good news!!  It seems like you've been on the go and not getting enough rest lately, so, whoooo hooo!

Still not a peep from the agency about the job interview, so I mowed the lawn and put laundry out to dry... I'm about to go clean my face so I can lay out and read my chem book.  I tried to get my clothes together for the interview and I think I should go buy some new black shoes.  The ones I have for this dress are going to be too much to walk in.  So, unless I want to carry a second bag to swap shoes, I think I should get some more versatile black heels.  *sigh* - spending money to make money.

    A - Where's the Corky video?

B - Hope we hear from Susan about the wedding.  I hope all went smoothly and she enjoyed a great time.

OK, that was hugely demoralizing.  And, won't know squat for probably a couple of weeks.  Sigh.

Jackie, from yesterday:  ttfn = ta-ta for now (I got that from Tigger, you know, of Winnie the Pooh fame).

I would have never guessed that. lol  Although I did come close in my guesses and got the "for now" part but the tt had me stumped.

Cathy, I must say that I would have been majorly creeped out by the girl with the Vicks habit.  Eww.  I hope DH hasn't lost any parts for his bike.  Isn't there a parts list that he could check?  I can't imagine putting a bike together from a kit.  If I assembled one, I would NEVER ride it. lol   Too afraid that I got something wrong.

Paige, hope you get that second interview soon.  Love the picture too but poor Twister says it's not funny to get peed on.  He's had it happen a time or two and being so small he can't usually retaliate with much effectiveness. lol

I sent Amanda the videos but she was busy this weekend.  If anyone else wants to give it a go, send me your email via pm.  I have the videos on the computer at home.

Susan seems to have survived the wedding.  She posted on fb and that means she isn't hospitalized or in jail.  Must have been a success! lol

    edited, but not much. lol

I am loosely puppy shopping.  Even "loosely" shopping is hard work!  There's so much....I'm trying to narrow down lines/kennels and hopefully potential studs.  Last night when DH was hopped up on cold medicine and distracted by work I asked if I can get a puppy in a year and he was like "whatever."

I am counting down the days until I can start working from home. I'll still go into the office 1 day a week for our meeting, but that means 4 days I don't have to commute!!!!  4 days Ari won't have to be stuck in her kennel all day :)

I had a perfectly wonderful, lazy weekend. We took Ari out for her romps, but that was pretty much it. I napped, Ari napped, I watched TV shows on the computer, napped some more and cuddled with Ari. I finally feel a bit more refreshed than I have in a long while.

I did scrub the tub though. I will have to say the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are heaven sent. I didn't think they'd actually work, but they're awesome.

LOL!  When you've been married a little longer you will learn to record these crucial conversations or at least make him sign a paper while he's agreeable.  I've gotten Charles to agree to many a dog by asking at the "right time".   I'm excited for you!

Funny, I was just thinking about those this morning.  They work because they scour the surface off whatever you're cleaning, like a fine abrasive sandpaper.  I use them sparingly, because of that, unless I don't give a crap about the surface of something.

Unfortunately, Florida is one of those places where the lines are long for this kind of help.  As someone else said - you and Todd have put in plenty of years of work and taxes that getting some temporary help now is completely reasonable.  What the heck else are you supposed to do?!??  Sell your body on the streets?!  Now, THAT would be demoralizing.

I just called another temp agency to send them my resume.  When the guy gave me his name, I realized I'd already sent them my resume back in August and never got a smidge of response.... Hope the new/improved version looks good enough that they actually give me a call back.  The last two years look like ca-ca from a work perspective.

YOUNG LADIES - DO NOT EVER move across country for a man, unless there is a ring on your finger!  Mkay?? Thank you - my Public Service Announcement for the day.

So THAT'S what I'm doing wrong, when I ask the SO about getting another dog. I'm not waiting until he's medicated hehehehe.

I didn't realize there were so many things to buy for a "move in ready" house!!!!  I was planning on leaving W-S at 10am today and it's 3:30pm and I'm just now finishing packing things up! Surprise Spent the whole morning running errands (and spent 30 mins lost lol), had lunch with DH and his boss, and then another 40 mins of errands before coming home and packing up the car.

Of course now DH has lots to work on - installing the towel bars/rings in the bathrooms, assembling 3 lamps, 3 rooms to paint (still deciding on colors for the other 3 that would look better with something other than tan or grey/blue), and waiting for the fridge to be delivered tomorrow!

Off to my 2.5hr ride back home....

     Hi everyone....

This past weekend was my last weekend without a doggy event until after 6/20 busy busy busy!!!!

Liesje, I know what you mean about loosely puppy shopping. I too am on the look out for another pup. Quinn is 6 months old now, and I want a golden retriever pup to play with while DH plays with Quinn. Good grief. So hard to find dogs up to my picky standards. Yes I am picky, and I will not back down. I do have a potential litter lined up. The female won't be bred until October, so no pup in my possession until next year. The wait will kill me, but this is a TO DIE FOR litter. So I am very excited. I do keep looking in case the unthinkable happens. I want a plan B in place. I think I understand the issues plaguing my beloved golden retrievers more now.

Actually slow at work "today". I have a lot on my plate coming up quickly, enjoying the calm before the storm. Next month is  year end.

I agree! But read the directions and don't use them on wood! I got a little clean-happy once and scrubbed a bit of grime off the cabinet above the stove. It dulled the finish a bit. Oops!

Gloomy and cool here today. I'm ready for summer!

OK, have done what I can do and now all I can do is pray for a good job very quickly.

Now, I'm going to do my best to not let all of this get to me.

POURING here.  Ran out to check my cats and got soaked to the skin!  Wow.

Good to know!  they work wonders on fridge and stove handles, though -- but those are white plastic things.  And I've done some wall touch ups, but definitely will be more cautious once we repaint.  Wondered how they were so amazing.
