Today was a really good day. Bev is getting around very nicely. So much so, that I decided to let him go for his WAE. He was the 6th dog to go. As we were going through the beginning of the course, it started raining. He was doing great until we got to the plastic that he was to walk over. It was wet, & I opted to pull him when I saw how wet it was. I wasn't willing to risk him slipping. I just couldn't do it. The evaluator allowed us to skip the plastic, walk the other surface, & meet the aggressive stranger. Bev did great over the grates, & he was ready to engage with the stranger. Obviously, we still failed. The evaluator told me that had he been able to navigate the plastic without issue, he would have passed. She went on to say that she didn't blame me at all for pulling him. Title or not, I am very proud of my boy. He handled himself beautifully through the evaluation.

Since he likes the water, & there is no diving for the toy, or pressure on his neck, he can still do what he loves to do.
Really good exercise...swimming. Do you play fetch in the water?
Yeah, I use his dokken duck, a bumper, or a chuck it. I just launch it out into the pond, & Bev goes to get it for me. He LOVES it.
