Day of rest chat

It did rain, it did pour.

the boy woke me with a ball in his mouth,

and wanted to play.

I got up and made some coffee,

because he wouldn't go away,

and I caved to him, and

threw the dang ball.

I thought this said chat.

But I see we must act,

like we rhyme when we chat.

What's up with that? :)

 Oh crap, I suck at poems

I just don't know em

I got sunburned on my nose

I doesn't really look like a rose

It happened at special olympics

and I can't rhyme with olympics

unless maybe I had also gotten a bunch of ticks

that would have been really sick

 Ok, I have to get ready to work

and I definitely can't rhyme that one. 

Well, curses, I'll break the spell and NOT rythm!  Beautiful here today and will probably get hot, which doesn't quite do it for me.....DH is all over me about getting overheated and taking forever to cool back down.  But, this is a long term thing....he says it's getting worse.  I don't think so. He's just around to see it more now.  I can handle the 35 bucks to see a doc, but I can't handle the cost of the lab work so I'm not sure what he wants me to do about it.  Men.

I felt so good about getting stuff done yesterday.  What I'm packing from the kitchen is stuff that won't readily fit in the RV kitchen.  Some of the larger caserole dishes that don't fit in the RV oven,  extra coffee cups, that sort of thing.  No storage containers that won't fit in the little RV fridge..... I'm being pretty ruthless about it.  And, it feels good.  And while I'm not planning for any long term use of the RV kitchen (please God), en route and until we find a house in our new location, I'd like to keep it convenient in there.

Hmmmm, wonder if I won last nights PowerBall??

My filthy house will get cleaned today.  Oh, I watched The Blind Side last night.  What a great movie!!!  I got it from Netflix, but this might be one I'll buy.  It is that good!

My butt/thigh is still so freaking sore - can't sit - texted younger sis who is a personal trainer as to whether to rest it or keep trying to stretch and use it. Argh!

DH just took Bugsy for his walk - they look so cute together.

Heather I loved Blind Side!  Sandra Bullock's character is so much like my neighbor it is amazing

Not much on for today and even less due to the hamstring issue 

We went out for beer and pizza last night at this place we thought was very different than it was - it turned out to be a student hangout (NC State) OMG we had a laugh.  The bar tender was painting her finger nails, the pizza maker was ordering shots of Knob Creek bourbon and it was generally fairly insane.  I told DH he had come a long way because he would have left this place immediately when we first moved here.  He much more chilled out now LOL And hey the pizza was good - which reminds me the other bar tender took pictures of my pizza - I know not why

Today would have been my mother-in-law's birthday, first since she passed away.

I am officially DONE with everything this semester, WOOT! Got an 84 on my last final because I was too lazy to go upstairs and get the book. I'll still get an A in the class. Now I have to figure out how to return my books to the rental place, hmm.

Karen, I hope your leg gets better soon.  That sounds extremely painful. 

Meg, congrats on finishing up with an A!  Not such a dumb blonde, as you would have us believe. :)  But I already knew that about you.

I need some vibes that I can catch this pitiful momma dog.  I saw her yesterday and had spotted her once previously and suspected she was pregnant. I have been looking for her but didn't see her again until yesterday. She's had her pups by the looks of it.  She's in the same area I found that GSD pup in November.  Probably dumped when her jerkwad owner realized she was pregnant.  I left some food and water for her and will go by daily to see if I can gain her trust enough to catch her and her pups.  I wish I had caught her before she had the puppies.  Grrrrrrr    I wish I could stake out whoever dumped her on a fire ant mound.

Jackie, I hope you're able to get momma dog & her pups!  You are amazing for going to such lengths to help!

Halfway done with cleaning the house.  Downstairs is done, and I'm taking a break before starting on the upstairs.

Here you go Karen.  As you can see, he wasn't happy about it.  But, he got used to it, and didn't try to scratch or lick at his belly at all last night!

Awww Jackie, I really hope you have some luck finding that dog. That's just heartbreaking to imagine. The GSD rescue in So. Calif. has rescued 2 moms/litters recently. The first one was a pregnant bitch dumped at a high kill shelter only days before delivering. Those pups are not 12 weeks old and up for adoption and beyond adorable. The other bitch just delivered a week ago. She was emaciated and delivered about 2 wks early. The puppies are teeny and a few have bald patches that they think may be permanent. They're in a good foster home tho, so I know they'll get the best chance possible. Just makes me want to go postal when I think about the type of person who dumps a pregnant dog or abandons them completely. Okay - rant over!!

I'm super tired today. I didn't sleep well at all last night. I got up early and went grocery shopping though but that may be all I accomplish today. DH got off this morning and will likely be content to hang out and do nothing. It is a gorgeous day though, so yay for that.

Karen - let us know what your sister says. I'm always curious about stuff like this too. I was torn about whether to continue with my workout with the rib pain I was having, but I think it actually helped. It did hurt like he$$ when I mopped the floors yesterday, so I think it's related to housework and I need to hire someone.

One more shift left for the weekend. Thank heavens.

Doing kennels all weekend always makes me ask who are these people who are ok with rude behavior from giant dogs. I've had my upper torso bounced off of, been scratched, my hands mouthed...bleh.
