Lauren, I really like you, but if you say something like this again, I will be forced to smack you with the 2x4! Big Smile

I got to leave work at 10:30 this morning (instead of 1) as I'd be getting overtime. Yay !

Jules is still gimpy. He had xrays yesterday and he has arthritis in his elbow (and a bit in his carpus) but most of his discomfort is likely coming from a little bone spur. So, he's on anti-inflammatories for a bit.  He's less limpy than he has been, so that's something

lol so long as it will knock me out until about Sunday at noon, I'm happy to take the 2 x 4 to the face!  I'll take one for the team!

Yes, I think so. I think you should try clicker training your MOH and if that doesn't seem to work, a shock collar might look nice on her.  Do you have wedding stuff this weekend that's bumming you out?

Tina, no need to worry about the older man and his lack of ability to salute properly.  They have drugs for that;  don't you ever watch TV? lol I wish I could tell you what Charles said when we saw one of those commercials the other day.  Not family friendly but it was funnnnny. :)  That got me thinking about an email a friend sent me the other day.  The title was 'the new 3M bra'.  Anyone else seen that?  I'm so out of touch with stuff this is probably for real.  I need to google it.

Yay - I'm so glad it's Friday and it's gorgeous here. Unfortunately, it's supposed to get gloomy again in the next few days. I think I'm going to take Monday off. I need to use some vacation and DH is working, so it'll give me a day alone.

Bummer!  I was planning to uncover and wipe off the yard furniture, put the umbrella up and maybe go to OSH and find some new cushions for the lounge chairs.  I guess I'll have to let that go for the next weekend if it's raining again. I made chicken and rice last night using the fiesta chicken salad and it came out so good I surprised myself. That one will definitely be a keeper.

Day 12 of the p90x for me! Little bummed the BF stayed up late partying with his friend that came out to visit ( yes BF has today OFF!!), sooo he did not get up and work out with me this morning. I hope he does it later, I'd really hate to see him loose momentum this far into it!

and during my workout, his friend who I swear does not sleep & just drinks constantly kept coming into the living room asking about the work out & going 'whoa that gnarly' etc. etc. Kinda hard to have a conversation while I'm trying to breathe & not throw up from working out so hard.

tomorrow is trim day for tha donks! then my trimmers husband is going to help us take down a tree in the front yard that's dead, for FREE. How freaking awesome is that. Great people they are.I actually got my trimmer hooked on p90x, she's on day 4. I think it'll really benefit her since she's always trimming equines and gentling the wild BLM mustangs.

and I'm wearing shorts today!! with flip flops! it feels nice!!

oh ya BF got his ears pierced yesterday, he had them pierced before but ended up taking his jewelry out (for work) and they closed up. So now he's got some 12g rings in there, right one was easy, left one had lots of scar tissue and looked painful!!. He goes back to work Thursday, I hope they heal quickly cuz he'll have to take them out when he goes into the office!

Jackie, yeah, tomorrow morning I have to go with my future SIL and her bridesmiads to try on dresses, which wouldn't be so bad, but they all have a strong dislike for my mother, and I just know they will start bad mouthing her.  Now, I know my mother can be difficult at times, and okay, people will say things about other people, it's inevitable, but I don't want to hear it.  I am thinking I will just leave if they start on her.

And then in the evening my supposed MOH and her husband are coming over, BUT on that front, I have been talking to her husband today, and I told him everything that happened, and got all of it off my chest, and now I feel better.  I told him how upset she made me and although he tried to put it off and excuse her, I told him no, and explained it more to him what happened, etc I told him, because she's not returning my calls nor texts.  And I asked him straight out whether or not she actually wants to be my MOH because she sure isn't acting like she wants to be.  I feel better now Smile  But now to deal with tomorrow night with her gah.

Lauren, I thought I saw something about the dresses on fb.  Good for you for talking to the diva's DH and telling him how she's been treating you.  The more you practice telling people how you feel, the easier it gets.  Practice, practice, practice. :)  I think many people confuse being confrontational with speaking up for themselves.  To me being confrontational means going on the offensive and getting in someone's face.  Speaking up for yourself can be done quietly but firmly and with a smile.

You do have my email addy, missy, so do share!

Lauren, you can survive this.  Jackie gave some good advice.  And about the bridesmaids talking about your mom, tell them to have some respect - she is your mother, don't let them bash her.  It's not too late to elope, you know.  MOH, ditch the bitch.

Deb, would you please pass Lauren the 2x4 and vodka, STAT!?!

I would never, ever bad mouth anyone's mother. That's just not cool. I don't bad mouth the family members of anyone I know. I'll listen to them bad mouth their family but I'm very cautious to even agree with them.

I had a great workout. Nothing like a ton of adrenaline to propel thru your workout. I had a msg to call my boss and was dreading it. I made the call but his VM box was full - woohoo!!!!!!! :)

Julie - check this out for a cuteness overload:

     http://www.ustream.tv/channel/newborn-aussie-rescue-pups

This is a live feed of newborn aussie pups that are being fostered in ARPH aussie rescue in Indiana. Some of these pups will have hearing and vision problems. You can donate to help these pups with their extra vetting costs by donating at www.aussierescue.org These pups are the product of a red merle to red merle breeding that end up having special needs pups

Any idea why the breeding of a red merle to a red merle would cause problems?

Lauren, I have a shock collar I bought to use on Grady.  Before anyone gets on me about it, I never ever ever used it. I won't sell or give it away because I don't want anyone to use it on their animals.  I think it's perfect for your MOH.  She gets snarky, ZAP.  She's more compliant.  Simple. ~evil laugh~

Cathy, You're responsible for me spending hours gawking at a beautiful mom Pap & her 6 day old pups. So sweet!!

You're welcome! Wink Aren't those babies adorable?? I was shocked at how big they were when they were born but I guess that's the plus of having a small litter.
