Tuesday - Mindless

    Tuesday - Mindless

Came in early so I can leave early to keep the hair appt. I've cancelled twice due to the brakes fiasco.

We had much needed rain during the night, but now I will probably have to mow the lawn this week.

The other night when I walked Agnes, I was picking up her poop and narrowly missed being hit in the head by the last bit of her deposit which she kicked up when scent marking with her back paws!  I'd have gotten it right about ear level - and right in my hair. Ick!

Jackie, so glad Charles's doctor appt. went well yesterday.

Callie and everyone else who is sick, I hope you're feeling better.

Corky, you make me want a duck!

I think I'll head down to Texas so that I can kidnap Charles and knock a few back with him while enjoying a double pepperoni pizza.

    I'm much nicer than Jackie.

    eeewww... glad it didn't happen

Hope all you sickies are feeling better today.

This is amazing... it is 9am Tuesday morning, and my paper and presentation for Saturday are finished. I'm sure I'll give them some small touch ups through the course of the week, but they are done! And, to my surprise, I have already read some of the articles for this weekend. Woohoo! This 5 minutes to plan the day stuff is great! I've gotta go get ready to leave now.

hehehehe Tina, I'm laughing at the poo fiasco, but ewwwww. I'm glad you didn't get hit! Corky makes me want a duck too - I have to keep constantly reminding myself that we don't need more critters!

I am finding it hard to work this morning. I had a wonderful four day weekend. My co-worker, the useless one, is now on part time for the next two months - lets hope we don't get busy or I'll be working a lot of overtime and looking to get compensated for it. Actually, lets hope we DO get busy. LOL. I should be able to get a lot more done with her not around asking stupid questions. If only I could get off this forum!

FH and I are heading down to the city tomorrow for his Dr.'s appointment. I hope it goes well - the last thing he or I need right now is him having to have surgery. I am glad though - we get to eat out, somewhere other than McD's or Wendy's etc. It's always a treat going to the city and eating out, that's probably the biggest complaint of living where we do, there are no delicious hole in the wall indian/thai/etc restaurants.

Morning everyone.  Nothing to report here.  Just so glad that Charles got the all clear. That's just the best news.

So many good vibes for those who are not feeling well.  Hugs to those that need them.

Come on down! LOL   We had pizza for dinner last night!

Tina, don't forget your popcorn when you leave early today. bwahahahah!

Oatmeal is no longer a forbidden food in our house.  Sounds weird but I really have missed oatmeal for breakfast.  lol

Belle was obsessed with a young toad on the back porch this morning.  She was inside and it was sitting right by the sliding glass door, taunting her or so she thought. lol   I love toads and frogs but Belle doesn't let many survive.  I guess someday there may be a subspecies of toad in my yard that understands that staying out of sight and reach of the  BBD means survival.

     O. M. G. I just went to put Rascal in his new, giant crate, put him inside it, closed the door, and then saw... IT. The biggest, scariest looking bug ever, right in his water dish!!! I pulled him out of the crate immediately (which made him mad, he wanted to nap) and then we ran away. I can't tell if it's dead or alive. I'm trying to decide which is scarier - taking it out of the house, or leaving it for BF but risking its escape.

It looks like a mix between a cricket, a spider, and a centipede!!!! GROSSSSSS

I knew I'd forgotten something important!  Be sure to put your flask in your purse.  A little vodka does wonders to lessen the "ooky" factor. Take a few treats for Jamison, too. Stick out tongue

Jackie - thanks for the reminder!  ROFL!

Jackie yea for oatmeal and pizza - two of my favorite foods

and Yea for Jamison getting his stitches out!

Courtney be strong get that bug - I thought you got Rascal out of his crate to get the bug LOL Yup I send the beast in at times like that - a quick "get it" and he will do the job!

Tina that is so funny about the poop - Bugsy started that kicking back thing last year and it cracks me up - and if we're lucky pulls up some weeds instead of grass

Belle Bugsy loves toads too but he is more in the catch and release mode.  I will never forget the first time he got one of those that excretes some chemical that makes the dogs mouth foam.  Bugsy was spewing pale green foam and DH thought he was dieing - wasn't great for the carpet but it was rather funny.  You would think he would leave them alone after that but nope Confused

OMG we saw our wheaten terrier friend while out walking - she was completely light green it was so funny - big reminder that short haired dogs are easy!

    OK off to work

Jackie, I'm glad Charles appointment went so well.  That's great news!

Tina, Willow does that with her back paws too.  I stay clear since one time on a hike she did that in some leaves and kicked up a bunch of leaves with ticks on them at me--talk about having a major freak out.

Hope everyone has a great day. And, those we weren't feeling well are much better today.

Hope Agnes and Cher are feeling OK too.

Tina, ducks are absolutely wonderful pets.  They bond so strongly with us humans that it's incredible.  She is an absolute love.  And I also can highly recommend "special needs" ducks!

Why is it that bruises look so much worse as they start to go away??  It looks like I have not washed the top of my foot my whole life!!  Go away......it's too warm to wear shoes!!

MIL finally has the staff doctor at the NH as her own doc.  Took some phone calls from DH, because the docs office (old doc) wouldn't listen to MIL.  Sigh.  DS called to let us know that he had met with the staff doc and all of their concerns were being addressed.  It's funny, DS is NOT her blood grandson, but DH asked that they take questions and concerns to him, over the "real" grandson, and they have done exactly that.  SS is an interesting young man....I'll leave it at that.

I'm lounging out by the pool, the dogs are munching on their raw bones, the neighborhood is quiet... *sigh* life is good!

...too bad I have to go to class this afternoon. This weather is fantastic!

That reminded me of that buggy thing I saw when I was in the shower a few weeks ago. I totally understand the running away part. I'd have probably just panicked and ran and hoped for the best for Rascal Embarrassed

I had trouble sleeping last night. Every time I tried to turn over, my ribs hurt. I put a thermacare wrap made for the neck on the area and that did feel soothing. I hope whatever this is starts to feel better soon.

It was 35 degrees this morning. Hard to believe it's April. I think the rest of the week is supposed to be dry though.

Really sad about those miners and their families in W. Virginia. :(
